How does one explain the feeling of love?
Is it just caring for someone…or is it more than that?
Well, whatever it may be, he knew it was too much of an intense topic for him; although, he would ask himself quite often. "What is love? And how come I haven't felt it yet?"
It's difficult; growing up. In high school, all of his friends have already experienced their first love and a majority of them were already over it. However, he hasn't felt the slightest hint of love. Well, he loves his parents; his mom and dad. His siblings, too...sometimes.
But, although he's thankful for them, that's not the love that he wished to experience.
He was jealous of his friends who have loved so many times and envied the ones that were still in love from the first time. What is that, anyway??? First love? A pretty stupid concept, if you asked him. Some like to believe that the first person you date is your "first love" and he knows first hand that its not true. His lack of love is not to be confused with a lack of affection. He's had quite a few girlfriends; pretty ones too! He just--he didn't feel much for any of them. Yeah, he liked them, but he never fell in love with them....and yes...there is definetely a difference.
Well, maybe? A boy can only dream.
