______   Silence.   The feeling inside you was overwhelming as you absorbed everything D.O just said. The silence was unbearable to the two standing in the center. Not a single gasp was let out. Only silence. Mr. Kim was the first one to speak. He looked overly shocked. ''H-how can....this be?'' He managed to say. The hidden truth was no longer a secret. Min Hee dropped her shoulders as well as her gaze. Not wanting to face anyone. D.O gave her a light squeeze before speaking. ''It's a very long story since it started awhile ago. But for now i think you have guests to attend to.'' He said. The chairman took the time to breathe and brush himself off. He was more than embarrassed to have done such a thing in front of the founders of the biggest fashion company in South Korea. They could possibly tear his company apart in less then a second. Getting on their bad side wasn't what Mr. Kim had in mind. He cleared his throat. ''I um apologize for everything that happened and hope you could let certain things slide.'' He solemnly bowed before leaving. Min Hee and D.O relaxed once he left, but they knew they had to face their friends. Kai slowly turned his head and gave D.O an unreadable expression. ''I'm sorry guys. I would've told you earlier........'' D.O's voice decreased. Min Hee stayed quiet and buried her face in Kyungsoo's shoulder. ''Let's go.'' He whispered to her. Giving everyone one last glance they both left to attend the after party. ''I can't believe it.'' Baekhyun shook his head. ''My friend is the founder of KSMH. That's a lot to take in.'' He continued on. ''And i thought he was a chef...'' Chanyeol said. They both walked out of the room leaving you and Kai alone backstage. It was dark, but you could see the stressful and hurt expression on Kai's face. He sighed and walked over to the chair to sit down. You watched him lean his head back and rub his forehead. A sigh escaping his lips as he shut his eyes. You felt sorry for him. A lot just happened in the past 30 min. He witnessed you getting slapped and couldn't do anything without giving away your secret relationship with him and he just found out that his best friend is his the president of KSMH. It was a painful scene to watch. Without knowing, your legs soon brought you over to a stressful Kai. You sat down on his lap and rested your arms around his neck. He immediately opened his eyes and stared up at you. A tear drop slid down your face and you looked away. He lifted his hand and gently wiped your tears away. With the same hand he caressed your slightly pink cheek. ''Does it still hurt?'' He whispered. You could hear the hurt behind his voice. ''Ani....'' You replied back. ''I'm sorry i couldn't do anything to protect you. I should have but i didn't. And i hate myself for standing still.'' He looked at you sadly. ''Oppa, it's okay. I understand why you did what you did.'' A hazy smile formed on your lips. ''You know that's the first time you ever called me oppa?'' He said while tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. You blushed and bit your bottom lip due to your sudden shyness. He pulled you closer to him and engulfed you in a secure hug. His chin rested on your shoulder as he rocked you back and fourth on his lap.

The after party was crowded. No big surprise. Different models and company employees attended and were toasting drinks. Kai led you through the crowd and onto the dance floor. Ignoring the stares of the guests around him because he just wanted to share a special moment with you. Hiding his relationship with you no longer mattered to him as he wrapped his arms around your waist. Pulling you closer to his chest. You were still dressed in your model outfit. You gave Kai a questioning look. Wondering why he was showing off your relationship in public. He smiled. ''I don't want us to hide forever Jung Ah.''
