[CONTENTID1]Safe & Sound[/CONTENTID1]   [CONTENTID2]He was strolling around down town Seoul to clear his head, when a sweet, alluring scent grabbed his attention. He stopped in his tracks, mesmerised by the inviting smell, he blinked before closing his eyes, wanting to get the most of it when he abruptly shot his eyes open. The young man furrowed his eyebrows in confusion; this scent, that he had come to adore, was not a humans' and nor did it belong to a vampire, yet it was fascinatingly overwhelming. A combination of white tea and jasmine, topped with the sweet scent of blood was driving him insane even when he'd already had his feed a couple of hours ago.   Where is it coming from? he speculated in wonder. Taking steps as light as a feather, he followed the scent when a distinct scream reached his sensitive ears. The boy fastened his pace unaware of the situation he would find, and although he rarely involved himself in human affairs, it was the curiosity of the girl with the jasmine scent that led his two feet. But what he saw before him was a sight he never expected and would not forget, he widened his eyes for a second before regaining his composure, this girl was badly beaten and bruised, it was possible she might die if he wasted anymore time. The creatures he had read about in books at home, were a supposed myth, but as he'd been told, every myth has some truth in it.    Snapping out of his trance, the blonde haired boy appeared behind the vile little thing and twisted his neck with ease before dropping him dead. Next, he strode towards the older creature- who had turned when sensing another presence- and gave him a good punch to the jaw, making him fly a few meters back as well as knocking some of his teeth out. With no choice but to defend himself, the beast clawed at the platinum haired boy, to his horror however, the boy flawlessly ducked and spun to the side, ending up on one knee, ready to attack. The creature advanced towards him once more, but just as the beast came within reach, the boy blocked his attack with one hand while he stretched out the other, stabbing the monster with his raw hand; the boy then pulled out his still beating heart and dropped and dropped it next to the lifeless body.   "Be gone," he whispered, "you're a disgrace to all vampires." He hissed as he the back of his bloody hand whilst his luminous red eyes watched the now pale blue body fly away into small particles. Just like that, in less than a minutes' time, the two beasts vanished into thin air with no trace of their existence whatsoever.   He then snorted ironically, Fledgelings, Drifters, Level E's; they had many names, but the Elders called them The Lost Ones, a name perfectly suited for their lowly species. In the greed for power, obsessive humans would be willing to lose their sanity after exchanging blood with a vampire. Forgetting their past memories and loved ones, they'd awaken as new born vampires, after some time though, the vampiric cells would stop producing the the sufficient amount of blood for them to survive, leaving them with no choice but to attack innocent humans and become walking zombies. Unfortunately for them, they had no hope of survival, only that some would last longer than the others, but eventually, they would all have the same fate. Hunger. Insanity. And death.   The Council forbids turning humans under any circumstances, as there should only be the two existing kinds of of vampires. First, are the purebloods; which  have come from a line of vampires with no mixing of human blood in their ancestry. But sadly enough, they have been victimised due to their pure heritage and some were killed in a war eleven years ago; so in conclusion, there aren't many purebloods left except the Sacred Six.    The second group are the ones born as vampires. But as their ancestors have mixed with humans, they are not as powerful as purebloods and can only use some of the powers that the purebloods do. For example, the red eyes, they are a sign of power and only the purebloods have them. Born vampires will just enhance the natural colour of their eyes when they feel strong emotions. Both groups of vampires mostly share the same characteristics, they also survive just like any other race. They age just like humans. They breathe. They walk around in the day light. They can even eat regular food, although it's unnecessary. But they also require human blood to stay alive.   And lastly, humans that are turned into vampires. Converting humans had been common in the olden days, but when scientists started to experiment on the race, the vampires had been forced into hiding and the turning of humans was banned by The Council. After reading their history, the boy concluded that it's been almost eleven years that the last of these creatures were spotted and since then, this is the first time they revealed themselves. And the boy had to say, they weren't pleasant looking, not one bit.   The young man turned as his sharp ears registered the sound of heavy breathing behind him, he looked across the body of the girl that had pulled him here, ripped clothes, nasty gashes and bruises on her legs body and face; possibly a few broken ribs as well, and of course, the two puncture wounds on the base of her neck. Judging the damage done by those two Drifters, he gathered that he'd have to report the incident to The Council.   "How troublesome." He muttered as he walked towards the victimised girl who was still conscious, he gathered that he'd either have to be careful or put her to sleep. Choosing the latter to save trouble, he curiously advanced his hand to move her light brown hair from her face. But the second their skin made contact, a tingling bolt of electricity shot up his arm and through his body. Still in shock, he sharply pulled it back and stared at it wid
