Escaping From Hell; 1
Am I Supposed To Love You?"YAH! Bring me my beer!"
Words that echoed throughout the tiny apartment everyday.
"I give you a house, I give you a life. Resepct me!"
Jiyoung was tortured. Honestly, she was failing her classes.
"You have SO MUCH spare time here at home!"
Yeah, spare time. SURE.
"Failing will NOT be tolerated in this family!"
What family?
------------------------------
"Finally. Some time to MYSELF."
Park Jiyoung had finally got rid of her step-father, well, for the day. College entrence exams were tomorrow, so she was worried. Across the line of the year, she never gotten used to the tremendous amount of homework that piled up daily. History, Math, Science, Socials, English, Technology. Things that she didn't understand. Things she did understand, well, varied from picking up beer, making eggs, washing dishes, making the beds, drying dishes, doing laundry. She was tired.
Tired of being forced to do things she wanted to do. If she had just took to time to watch out for her studies, and if she did have a chance, she'd be off to the BEST university in Korea - Seoul University. But instead, she was aiming for something MUCH lower, something like college. Something that would've made her mom angry, something that would've made her REAL dad help her study. Perhaps, she could wish for something to happen, perhaps, her family could come back to life?
Impossible.
A word that she was haunted with EVERYDAY from her step-dad.
"You're impossible! I ask you to do this, you do that! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? Was your mother stupid while she was pregnant with you?"
Mondays and Tuesdays, and ocasionally Sundays.
"It's impossible for you to get into college, so just try your luck at Mcdonalds or something."
Thursdays and Wednesdays.
"You- worthless, impossible, child!"
E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y.
Everday, Jiyoung was haunted with these words. Yet, she kept them on the inside, and all to herself. She wasn't scared. She was TERRIFIED. Yet, somehow, she had gotten to survive through all these years.
So who said that she could't get into college? Who said that she was worthless?
Her step-dad.
But somehow, Jiyoung was more into getting into the idea of freedom, the idea of "away from her uncle." If she could get away, for just a DAY. FOR JUST ONE. DAY.
How about for a year? How about 3 years? How about for her whole life?
Fantastic.
