Pyo Hyemi doesn’t know how she ended up here, sitting in an uncomfortable velvet chair with stupid armrests. Her gaze bounced around the room looking from one bookcase to another; from a forgotten tea cup to a random box of sweets.

How had she gotten here? Patiently (or so she thinks) waiting for the student council treasurer to return with a check for Hyemi’s club funding. Kris wasn’t here today, so she ended up having to do his annual job of picking up the funding for the club, and well paying off their debts with the student council.

Right! She had been sitting next to Luhan, across from Tia who was working on whatever new cosplay she had become infatuated with. The black PS3 controller had been resting on her lap, while she explained to Luhan whatever was going on in the game.

It had been her 2nd playthrough of Final Fantasy 13, and he was still confused about the storyline, bless the poor child. Then Jessica woke up from her food coma, and sleepily called out for Hyemi.

“Kris says you need to go get our stuff from the student council.”

Hyemi knew that the text she was reading this off from specifically stated for Jessica to do so. But...there were some things that were better off unchallenged.

Her walk to the their office had been short, but Luhan says that walks feel short for her because of her long legs. Sure she was tall, but have they seen her younger sister? Now, those were some long legs.

The office had proved to be difficult to find, with Hyemi having to ask for a teacher to direct her in the right direction.

She knocked, only once, and was about to knock again before the door open quickly. The student council president made her nervous, with Gyuri being one of the more intimidating people at their school. She didn’t need to explain much, before she was pushed into this weird room, with the uncomfortable chair that had stupid armrests.

The treasurer, from Kris’ description, was noticeably short with gloomy eyes. ‘She looks like she’s tired, but that’s because her eyes droop a bit,’ Kris had gruffly stated, when she had asked about her.

The door opened, and Hyemi nervously played with the hem of her shirt. Usually she would play with her hair, but she wasn’t used to her haircut yet, but that was another story for another time.

“Here,” a check dangled in front of her. She tried not to gasp in surprise, how did the other girl move so quickly? She didn’t even hear her footsteps.

The check had been blocking her view, so she didn't catch a glimpse of the treasurer girl until she cautiously grabbed the check.

Short? Not by much. Tired? Yes. Pretty? Yes. Beautiful? Yes.

“Tell Kris that he needs to pay off 10,000 won from the club’s expenses.”

A person should not have such an alluring voice, it just wasn’t fair to people. Hyemi felt herself follow the girl, almost shuddering at her closeness.

The other girl rose her eyebrow, “Is there something else you need.”

Nodding slightly, she felt open, “Your name.”

“My what?” The other’s eyebrows rose in surprise.

“Your name. I’m Pyo Hyemi,” She outstretched her hand.

It took a while for the other girl to respond, with Hyemi thinking that maybe she had come on too strong. “I’m Ryu Sera.”

And their hands shook, with Hyemi’s face visibly reddening. It took two seconds for Hyemi’s mind to register the contact, and her mind went blank. She released her grip, and made a run for it. Making sure to only speed walk when other people were watching her.

-------------------------------

Pyo Hyemi doesn’t know how she ended up here with Sera on her right. Sera looked around the club room, curiously investigating each knick knack in the room closely.

Hyemi almost winced when Sera picked up some of the more expensive video game figurines.

“On your club form sheet, you never specified what type of club you were,” Sera broke the silence that settled between them.

Hyemi nervously smiled, “Well now that you’ve seen the club room, I think you can make a guess.”

“You always lock the door and leave late from school,” Sera continued.

Kris seemed to have overheard her, “It’s not a club for everyone to know about.”

Hyemi nodded, guiding Sera to the couch further into the club room. “You can sit here, while I get you some tea.”

But the shorter girl pulled her down to sit beside her, “It’s fine.”

Hyemi gulped, feeling Sera’s stare. Should she do something? Was the other girl expecting something from her? Kris’s shuffling in the background did nothing to comfort her.

He couldn’t find the money he put away to pay the club’s expenses for the month. It was the only reason why Sera was even welcomed into their club room.

Luckily the more eccentric members of the club were off on an errand run, with Luhan being the only other member with them. He was hiding away in the club’s spare room, where Tia’s sewing supplies were stored next to Kris’ boxes of Yugioh cards. He used to play and was in the process of teaching the rest of the club how to.

So far it hasn’t been a swell experience for anyone, but Sera didn’t need to know anything about that. This was Hyemi’s safe haven from the outside world, and she didn’t want anyone else intruding.

“Here you go, Sera” Kris gruffly mumbled, the envelope being a bit tattered.

Sera thanked him softly, “I’d like to visit again, if you would let me.”

She followed Kris outside, talking softly amongst themselves. Hyemi couldn’t decipher what they were saying, and she tried not make it seem obvious that she was listening in on them.

Kris came back minutes later, a paper in hand. “You have a date, or a lunch thingy.”

A paper was shoved into her hand, a phone number written neatly on it.

“With?”

Kris’ signature smirk appeared on his face, “I think you know the answer.”

-----------------------------------------------------------

Pyo Hyemi doesn’t know how she ended up here, laying down on Sera’s lap. The older girl’s hands played with her hair, as they enjoyed watching the club play a game of MarioKart.

Luhan was winning, due to luck, or so Kris says, with Hayana being last, being a victim of Tia’s traps. Jessica watched with an amused grin on her face, silently cheering on Luhan from afar. She had been banned from the “play” area until she finished her history paper.

Sera had become a regular visitor after their makeshift “date”. They weren’t really anything, but they were more than friends but less than girlfriends, a weird in between.

Both didn’t talk much about it, so Hyemi decided to leave it alone. Sera smelt like honey and roses, and Hyemi found herself more than once becoming intoxicated with the older girl’s scent.

They kissed twice. Both times leaving Hyemi a little more breathless, but she wasn’t one to admit such things. Sera liked being with her; she seemed to put her at ease even in moments of stress. They cuddled once in a while, but Sera wasn’t one for displaying her affections for everyone to see.

The members of the Student Council seemed to know what was going on between the two, or why else would they tease Hyemi. Gyuri smiled a little more around her, and Taeyeon’s giggles were becoming more frequent.

Sera didn’t play video games. She didn’t fuss over characters like they were her children. She didn’t squeal when new details on the PS4 came out. She didn’t marvel at the processing speed of a computer. She didn’t do any of that, but she never judged Hyemi for it either.

She just seemed amused with her all the time, often commenting on how cute Hyemi got when it came to anything she was passionate about.

They bonded over the little things, like how they both like sugar with their coffee or how they dislike the cold.

Hyemi watched the rest of the club, itching for a controller. Sera noticed her shaky hands, but didn’t say a word about it. Hyemi was always hesitant to pick up a controller around her, and it always puzzled Sera. She understood the girl’s love for such things and was never bothered by it.

“I call loser,” Sera loudly declared. Hyemi recognized that tone easily; it was Sera’s ‘I am part of the Student Council and I will end you’ tone.

The club quieted down, Luhan almost dropping his Wiimote in the process.

“Are you sure you want to play? We can get aggressive,” Kris warned. Sera nodded, not even batting an eye at him.

She then turned her attention to Hyemi, “If I win...you owe me a date.”

Hyemi found herself nodding, eyes widening a bit at the request.

The loser had been surprisingly Kris, who handed the the Wiimote to her without hesitation. He then turned to look at Jessica, history paper completely forgotten. The blond haired girl walked over to the group, hand outstretched for Tia’s Wiimote. Tia hesitantly handing it over, mouthing a sorry to Hyemi, who could only watch in worry. Jessica was their president for a reason; her skill was unmatchable even in games she had never played before.

After a brief explanation on the controls thanks to Hayana, Sera felt ready. It was a game match that quickly grew heated, Luhan and Hayana both not trying to even reach the other two. Jessica and Sera were both competitive people at heart, so neither wanted to lose.

Hyemi hid behind Kris, too afraid to see who was winning. Kris ignored her constant stream of questions, only muttering low responses once in a while.

Sera had won. Hyemi could tell because Jessica had gruffly hugged the girl. Sera easily had a good head in height over Jessica, so it had been amusing for the club to see the two hug.

Only five minutes had passed, before Sera abruptly stood up and announced she had to leave. Collecting her things, she casually bid a farewell to the playing group. Jessica gave her a small nod of acknowledgement, nudging Hyemi to stand up as well.

“I’ll walk you out,” Hyemi nervously stated.

Her response was a small smile, “Thanks.”

They walked together, Sera being much calmer than her. Her heart was beating far too quickly, and she was starting to get sweaty hands. Even if Sera was nervous, Hyemi would have never noticed it. The girl wasn’t fumbling with her hands, like Hyemi was. It was her nervous habit, something she did to distract herself.

“Hyemi,” Sera started, “Would you like to officially….”

When did they to the door? When Did Sera get so close? When did it get so hot in the room? The ever so evident blush on her was not making things any better either.

“...be my player two?”

Hyemi had to restrain herself from giggling, “Did you come up with that yourself?”

“Not really, but it sounded much better in my head,” Sera admitted nonchalantly.

It was then that Hyemi noticed the shaky hands, faint blush, and distracted eyes. Sera, student council treasurer, ruler with an iron fist, was nervous. And she, gaming extraordinaire,  made her nervous.

And that thought gave Hyemi a warm feeling.

----------------

Pyo Hyemi doesn’t know how she ended up here, at the end of a decorated aisle in a far too expensive dress that her mother insisted on buying for this occasion.

The dress was an automatic yes, and so when she turned over the price tag after trying it on, she could only feel her heart break in two. But her mother didn’t bat an eye at the four digit price, only stating how beautiful she looked in it.

Today had been hectic for her. Luhan had woken her up, wiping the drool off her face with a paper towel. Hayana was quick to scold her for waking up later than was planned, and Hyemi could only offer an apologetic smile to her.

She was then rushed from one room to the next, either being masked with make-up or getting up close and personal with a hair straightener. And then when it came to last minute touches, her mother was the one to do them.

Her mother delicately traced the contours of her face, trying not cry at the thought of how quickly time had passed. It felt as if though Hyemi had only been born a year ago.

When she was called for her entrance, Hyemi had thanked her mother quietly, hugging her tightly. She linked her arms with Kris, who had boastfully agreed to walk her down the aisle. He wore his best suit, and even wore the tie Hyemi had given him when they had barely known each other.

“Hyemi, are you ready?” He had stopped before the doors, waiting for her response.

“I’ve been ready for a year now,” she had cheekily replied, nudging her elbow unto his side.

And that’s how she ended here, at the end of a heavily decorated aisle in Sera’s hometown in Canada, waiting patiently (or so she likes to think). The soft violin music lulled her nerves, allowing for her to truly appreciate the scenery around her.

But her heart sped up when she heard the piano accompany the violins, and she tried not to panic as she remembered this was Sera’s cue.

Everyone rose to greet the other bride, the doors opening at an agonizingly slow speed. Sera had her arm latched onto Luhan’s, her father being too busy to send off her daughter. Or well, that and he didn’t approve of the marriage.

Luhan smiled brightly at the nervous Hyemi, and it was almost like she could hear him saying, “The walk only seems long because Sera has short legs compared to you.”

The closer she got, the more Hyemi’s throat became dry. The other girl’s veil had intricate details, hand woven by her grandmother (or something like that, she hadn’t been paying attention when Sera’s sister-in-law had told the story). And it also did well to cover the other girl’s face, much to her dismay.

Though they were having a very untraditional wedding, Hyemi’s mother had insisted on them not seeing each other until the wedding, starting from their respective bachelorette parties. However those parties were a story for another time.

When Sera finally stood in front of her, Luhan gave them both a small bow before heading to his seat. He almost tripped much to the amusement of the rest of the guests, but Hyemi could find it in herself to giggle at the boy. She was too entranced by the Sera.

The pastor began the ceremony and it took a lot for her to not tune out his voice, or else she would risk embarrassment on her own wedding day.

Their vows had been simple. They had both repeated the phrases the pastor had said, not looking at anything other than each other. The pastor had been a gentle soul who had walked them through all the steps in the ceremony more than a handful of times. He had answered their calls even at one in the morning and never once got annoyed at them.

The pastor seemed to be looking at her expectantly and so was Sera. She mouthed a what, before the Pastor repeated himself again, “Kiss the other bride.”

formed a small ‘o’ shape before nervously moving her hands to remove the veil, her head leaning in slowly as she did so. Sera closed her eyes, waiting expectantly, and it was the that Hyemi took notice of everyone waiting for the picture worthy moment of the day.

“I love you,” Hyemi whispered.

Sera blushed slightly, “I love you too”

The moment their lips touched, they felt the flashes of cameras around them. They heard the loud whistles of their friends and the loud cheers of congratulations.

Pyo-Ryu Hyemi does not know how she ended up here, besides a sleeping Sera, and frankly she does not care.

Chapter 3: This was the cutest thing eeevvveeerrrr!! <3 I'm so looking forward to more! I love how...obscure? You feel whenever the game club is being described. It's like some secret psycho cult---it's totally not but that's just the feeling I get when reading about it and it's members ^.^ Your writing is really chill-giving, in a good way! Does this comment sound stupid or confusing? I'm sorry, I choose really weird words to go with my feelings.

This is really great, please continue! I love these stories and just the concept in general!
