They walked home from school, side by side, hugging their selves to keep warm on that wintery day. They had their small talk, as their cheery voices echoed through the streets that were filled with joy as the Christmas season was upon them.

“Shall we study together later?” She smiled at the man beside her, “Sure, why not” He smiled back, making her feel warm inside. “My house or your house?” She blinked slightly and glanced at him once again, she noticed something slightly off about him, it wasn’t that obvious earlier, but now, she had noticed he was a lot paler than usual and he seemed to be weak(?).

Just when she was about to push that thought aside, he started coughing, turning her even more worried, “Are you okay?” She asked as she put her hand on his shoulder to steady him as he was turning into a coughing mess, he forcefully nodded his head as he forced a small smile; she was tearing up slightly, “You’re not okay”.

He then fell to his knees, continuously coughing. She struggled to keep him up right until his coughing turned softer and softer until it stopped. She looked at him, he had already passed out, seeing this had almost given her a heart attack as she yelled for help, crying, trying to wake him up.

Help had arrived in a few moments, taking his cold body to the hospital with her shaken with worry and tears. “Please be alright”
