“Will you go out with me?” a boy asked.  The girl shyly giggled and walked away, making Namjoon looked at her with the confused look. He shrugged and saw another target. He grinned and walked up to her. Seeing that there was a chance, he was about to tapped her shoulder when he saw her texting someone. Namjoon got closer and tried to peek who she’s texting. He quickly walked away and went to find another girl when he saw that she’s texting her boyfriend.  

He smiled when he saw a girl playing with her phone. He furtively went up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. The girl paused her gaming and turned to looked at Namjoon, her big doe eyes acting up. Namjoon breath hitched in his throat and he swallowed his saliva nervously. ‘Why am I acting like this?’ He coughed and asked her. “Will you go out with me?” his eyes widened when the girl replied, “Sure, why not?”

Namjoon tilted his head and looked around. “Really?” the girl laughed and nodded her head. “Really, I’m getting bored by not doing anything and just sitting there playing with my phone,” she shrugged and took his hand, “Come on!” Namjoon snapped out from his trance and followed her in a daze.

“So, where to?” Namjoon tapped his chin in thought and asked her. “What place do you have in mind?”

The girl hummed as she thought for that one place to go. She pointed her finger to the right and hollered, “TO MYUNGDONG!” she linked her arms with Namjoon and pulled him along. Namjoon could feel blush creeping up his cheeks and looked away, biting his lips from grinning too big.

“So, you’re still in high school?” Namjoon tried to strike a conversation with her, which went well. She nodded and added, “Well, I’m graduating next week and going to college. I don’t even know if I’m ready for college. College seems hard,” she frowned and waved her hands through her orange wavy hair. Namjoon stared at her in amusement and shaked his head. “College is hard. But once you get the hang of it, everything will just go smoothly.”

The girl gives him a breath taking smile, “Thanks for the advice mr.” Namjoon choked on his saliva and stuttered. “Ye-Y-Yeah, you’re wel-w-welcom-e.” The girl turned into a bubbled of giggles as she saw how cute he was. “Now let’s go.”

They walked around aimlessly, going into shops, trying that and that, buying that and that and pointing at that and that. They finally settled at a ddeokbukki eating place and ordered one hot plate of ddeokbukki. “Dig in!” she shouted, but not that loud. Namjoon shook his head at the girl’s weird behavior, smiling idiotically. They ate, asking each other question. Questions about school, adult, puberty. Soon the questions turned to personal things, like, where do she/he lived, what happened to her/his parents and all those stuff.

The girl’s eating slowed down when the topic about parents came. She placed her chopstick on the table and Namjoon noticed it. His chewing also slowed down and he stared at her. “Yah, are you okay?” She doesn’t looked up and Namjoon started to wonder if it’s about what he said.

He finally widened his eyes and kept on apologizing. “Sorry. I didn’t know.” The girl tearfully looked up and smiled at him sadly
