A/N: last part because the fic wasn’t meant to be long anyway. My favorite part of the 4 part series. Hihihi~ Epilogue? We’ll see…but the story is pretty much complete. ^^   I do hope you guys enjoyed reading this even just the slightest bit. ^^   XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX   Chapter Four: Beginning and End       Sungmin stared at the man’s familiar face…almost like he’d seen him before but he couldn’t remember when or where. He shook his head; that was impossible. Every person he knew in the span of years already died in his hands, one way or another…there was no way he could have met this man before…and yet he felt familiar.       Who is this man?       “What’s the matter? You can’t have seriously forgotten about me have you?” the dark haired man stood up now, walking towards him and the blond just stared at him with the usual cold eyes. The man sniggered in amusement. “Or have you lost that much of your humanity?” he smirked; Sungmin saw the flash of red in his deep black eyes.       The man lifted his chin so they were looking at each other’s eyes. “My my…it really does seem like you overused yourself…you must be tired” he said in a mock-worried voice. “I’m surprised you actually lasted this long, I must say I’m impressed”        Sungmin had no idea what he was talking about. And clearly, the man could tell that as well. He grinned darkly, leaning close so that his lips were touching the lobe of the blond’s ear. “I meant to ask you how you are doing, but maybe the more accurate question would be…how is the violin I lent you all this time?” he whispered.       At that, Sungmin’s eyes widened…and he stared at the man in front of him in horror. He remembered who is he now… “C-Cho Kyuhyun…” he gasped, but how…why is he here? The last time he saw the man was….       The night Sandeul died…       “I’m glad you finally remember me… Sungmin-ah…”         —-Flashback—-       “Hyung! Come on, hurry up or we’ll be missing it!!” Six year old Sandeul was pulling his six year older brother, who grumbled about being pulled away from his work of cleaning gentlemen’s shoes outside the barber shop. Really, if Sungmin just didn’t love his younger brother that much he wouldn’t have come. “Hyung! Hurry!” the boy quipped excitedly.       “Yah! Wait for me!” he pouted, trying his best to keep up. But Sandeul had long legs for a kid his age Sungmin had no doubt the boy was going to be much taller than him when they grow up. The thought made him pout even more but shook the image off when he heard the younger call him again. “Aish!”       The brothers made their way to the town plaza, where there was also a lot of people gathering. Sungmin blinked, looking around. “What is this? What is going on Deullie?” he asked as Sandeul placed a finger on his lips, indicating him to keep quiet, then he pointed at the fountain at the middle of the square.        There, a man wearing black clothes and cradling a violin stood. He waited for the townspeople to all arrive before he started to play. Beautiful music drifted through the air and everyone felt mesmerized by it. Sungmin gaped in awe as he stared at the stranger, obviously he was one of those travelling musicians who went from town to town…performing for people until they got bored with him…but it was his first time seeing one, he couldn’t help but truly be amazed by his performance.       When he was done a lot of the people applauded—Sungmin and Sandeul included—most throwing coins at the top hat he had prepared beforehand. Sungmin wanted to give him coins too but he caught himself before he could, remembering they won’t be able to eat that night if he give this away. He gave a small apologetic bow at the musician, and had the most curious sensation that he was watching. But when he looked up the man was looking away, bowing at the people.       “Did you see the way he moved his hands when he played hyung?! It was so magical right?” Sungmin chuckled, listening as Sandeul kept talking despite the bread he stuffed in his mouth. His younger brother was a hyper ball of energy, but he wouldn’t have him any other way. “And the music is so beautiful…I’ve never heard anything like it!”       Sungmin nodded, smiling as he placed the glass of milk in front of him “I agree Deullie-ah. He must know a lot about music since he plays so well” he said, watching as the boy drank up his milk. He was rather thankful Sandeul’s mind was pre occupied with the violinist; otherwise he would probably be nagging him about not eating anything himself. It wasn’t his fault though, the baker would only give him that amount of food with the money he had. But he had enough to feed his younger brother, and that was what’s important.        “It must be great to have a violin like that, right hyung?” the kid whispered dreamily. Sungmin froze slightly, heart already aching at the fact that it was another thing he would probably be never able to give his younger brother because of their situation. “I wish I had one too” then Sandeul realized what he said as he stared at his hyung “I mean, it would be nice but I don’t really need expensive things like that” he said, hugging Sungmin “I already have the best hyung in the world!”       Sungmin smiled softly, the corners of his eyes feeling warm as he patted the carrot haired boy’s head “You really want one?” he asked as Sandeul looked at him. “Answer me honestly Deullie-ah”       Sandeul pouted, nodding. He could never lie to his hyung “I do…but I don’t really need it hyung—I just”       “Then hyung will do his best to get you one~”       “R-Really?” the boy’s eyes brightened, obviously happy.       “Of course! Christmas is still a few weeks away right? If you’re a good boy then maybe hyung can earn enough to buy you one~”        “O-Okay then! I’ll be a very good boy for hyung!” Sandeul declared, hugging Sungmin tightly “Thanks Sungmin hyung, you really are the bestest ever!”       “You know it” he winked playfully “Now go to the room and do your homework while I wash up here” he said. The boy nodded and instantly went to their shared bedroom. Sungmin sighed deeply after him, knowing full well he had dug a grave for himself with that promise.       But Sungmin already made it, so he was going to do his best to fulfill it. He worked double shifts at the factory, while on his breaks would clean shoes outside the barbershop. It was hard, but he did get to earn a little more than the usual spare coins he usually gets, which he all saved up to buy Sandeul’s gift.       The musician was still in town, Cho Kyuhyun, that was his name according to Sandeul—-Sungmin was a little surprised his younger brother was talking to the stranger, but Sandeul told him that he was a good man, a little weird… but really good with his music. The boy smiled dreamily as Sungmin prepared his bread that evening. “He said a musician’s treasure is his instrument, so he couldn’t let me play his violin, but he promised he’d teach me if I ever get my own!”       Sungmin smiled, hiding the sigh that almost escaped him. “That’s good news then” he sat down, feeling tired…and with the amount of work he did lately just to save up for the boy’s gift, he had to thank having a resistant body that he hasn’t fallen sick yet. He couldn’t afford that, not now.       But eventually it did.       He was working in the factory when his body decided to malfunction, making him drop the piece of glass he was supposed to be working on. The owner scolded and belittled him in front of everyone, yelling how much he was worthless and he was more trouble than he was worth. He begged the man not to fire him got on his knees and sobbed on his feet…but the man kicked him away in disgust, before throwing him out of the place. Sungmin was too weak to even try to get up. He sobbed “Please…take me back…I need the money for my brother…please…”       When Sandeul heard about it, he got mad. Sungmin couldn’t look at him in the eye. “I don’t need a violin at the expense of your health hyung!” he cried angrily “You’re more important!” he hugged his brother, and that was where they both cried

Chapter 4: I really love the story! It's sad, but it has a kind of happy ending? I really want an epilogue but this ending is good too.
