The Final Sousenkyou
Description
AKB48 is at the very peak of popularity. Everyone in the world knows about the AKB48 and it's sister groups. Natsumi Ishikawa is the new center of AKB48 and it seems like everything is going for her. One day after a stage performance, Akimoto Yasushi himself comes out and states that AKB48 is ending at the end of this year. He says that this year's Senbatsu Sousenkyou is the final Sousenkyou that AKB48 and the sister groups will participate in and on December 8th, all current 48 group members will graduate. To make it worse, Akimoto Yasushi also announces that all former 48 members can participate.
Foreword
We just finished singing Heavy Rotation. When I was just about to wrap things up, Akimoto-Sensei steps on the stage. It must be important if the producer himself is on the stage.
"Thank you for supporting AKB48 for all this time," He says. "However, even though AKB48 is enjoying immense popularity not just here in Japan and Asia but the rest of the world, we realized that after all this time, AKB48 has to end."
I look around the stage. All of the members are shocked, so shocked that they are completely still and silent. I stand there, in the center of the stage on the verge of tears.
"This year's Senbatsu General Elections will be the final one before the members graduate on December 8th of this year. All members: current and former may participate." Akimoto-Sensei says. "Thank you for your support."
I let out my tears. I love AKB...
