That Girl Upstairs

Description

That Girl Upstairs

You can never know someone's true story unless you get to know them. But the thing is - you have to have to ask the right questions. Kim Himchan, University student at Seoul National Universtiy, moves into Korea's big city with hopes of being the best pyschiatrist Korea - and possibly the world - has ever seen. Sure, his dreams seem far fetched but with Himchan's stubborness on proving his father wrong; that he can live on his own and be his own man, the drive in him just keeps getting fed. As Himchan juggles school and work at the Convenience store across his 'crummy' apartment building, life around him seems to be pretty normal until ... a girl with a dark hoodie twice her size enters the Convenience store. One day Himchan decides to make small talk with her while she's on one of her many trips to the store, little does he know her life is depending on him.

Foreword

"But even when I stop crying, even when we fall asleep and I'm nestled in his arms, this will leave another scar. No one will see it. No one will know. But it will be there. And eventually all of the scars will have scars, and that's all I'll be - one big scar of love gone wrong."
