The Painter
Description
I remember the first time I ever saw her, and how much I was drawn to her.
I remember the first time I had ever spoken to her, and how nervous I was to say anything.
I remember the first time I painted her, and the way she looked at me when she saw her face within the mixtures of colours.
I found her out in the darkness one night and from there on, she became my muse. And I didn't realise how much I loved her until she was gone.
Foreword
This story stemmed as a result of a strange case of writer's block, where I was unable to write for a month, or really, I struggled to write and anything that I did, I hated it and erased it. I thought I was stuck, that somehow I had lost all of the creativity within me, that my inspiration was gone. I didn't think I would be able to write anymore, as pathetic as it sounds, but somehow I was brought out of it, by one song. That one song managed to make me smile and bring the words to my lips and my fingers and from there, this story, this one-shot came about. I don't know how it will end as yet. I only know the beginning and from there, my journey back to writing begins.
This is an entry to The Chosen One Writing Contest hosted by knovelist. All I can do now is write and hope that I manage to finish this before the deadline.
