Huntress

Description

2015 Seoul, a city destructed by evil, where the sun doesn’t dare shine, deserted as day transcends into darkness. The moon bestowed dim light onto the tenebrous landscape as the creatures exposed themselves and took charge. They were ruthless, evil, guarding the city 24/7. No one could leave. Nothing could stop them. Nothing but her.

Kwon Yuri couldn’t dream of another world, living in peaceful serenity far from the horrors beyond the fence. Death was something she never thought she would have to face. Fate had other plans. Her mother. Her brother. Deceased. Gone without return at the hands of her step-father.

‘Criminally insane’ she was labelled, blamed for their deaths. These simple words had her trapped in the institute deep in the city of Seoul, a place she didn’t dare go, with no possibility of escaping the city. Not unless she completes the job left behind. To kill the demons in charge.

In a world of darkness, she's the only one that can save them.

Foreword

They tightened their grip on her arms as she struggled in their grasp, dragging the girl through the isolated hallways of the building. There was not a sound to be heard but the pitter-patter of their footsteps across the unwashed, dirty floor beneath them, a tirade of the sky‘s tears battering against the window. No figures were apparent in her line of sight as though they had disappeared come her arrival. Or unless they were never to be seen.

She twisted her head at the thought of someone calling out her name from behind, scanning her eyes in search of anyone only to come face to face with the monster who’d forced her there, a smirk playing his lips as he stared at her with dark, cold orbs. The man had never liked her, ostracising her from the rest of the family with the exception of infrequent family gatherings. Hate was such a vague word which couldn’t describe how she felt towards him. He had torn her family apart yet acted like a saint in front of the staff, attempting to put her ‘best interest’ forward.

The girl spat at him distastefully, her eyes full of venom as he reeled back in distaste, bawling and cursing, infuriated with her actions. Pursing his lips, he slowly raised his hand, throwing it forward and whipping it across her face at great speed, his breaths prolonged. She watched his actions, eyes wide in shock as her fingers gently reached to her face, the tips gently brushing against the burning sensation on her cheek. The staffs were frozen in position as they became aware of the disruption behind their backs.

“I think its best you be moving on sir. We ensure you she’ll settle in safely,” one spoke, gesturing him towards the door.

“I suppose I should. Please make sure she gets the help she deserves,” he said in response, turning in the opposite direction. He slowly ambled towards the door in the far distance. “Have a nice time here, dear,” he muttered in a mocking tone, heaving a sigh as he rushed out of the building.

A ghost of a smile appeared across her face, expecting to never see the bastard again before dread suddenly piled into her system. She was far from home, in a foreign world she’d never expected to be. She felt as vulnerable as a child, having to adapt to new surroundings under the consequences of another’s actions, deemed as a ‘criminal’. Only her belief and faith could save her.

After what seemed like an eternity, the staff halted in front of a white door, the keys jingling in their hands as they twisted the lock and escorted her inside the room. Her nose wrinkled at the reeking smell of various antibiotics lingering in the air, scanning her surroundings with questioning eyes as she wandered the room under their close supervision. Reaching upwards, she swept her hand against the bland, whit walls, peering closely at the fresh streaks of newly coated paint. It was completely bare with the exception of essential furnishings - a bed, bedside table and lamp - a stark contrast to her bedroom back home. In time, home would become a distant memory.

“We’ll leave you to get settled. Just call us if you have any problems, okay Yuri?” she nodded, settling herself down onto the bed, stoking her fingers through her hair. At that moment, she would give anything to travel back in time, back to a better life.

Hi everyone, I'm coolgirlaamy. It's been a while since I wrote some a story focused on Minyul so that's why I'm here.

I found the inspiration for this story from a dream I had a while back, peculiar dream but great idea, T-ara's Day By Day MV and this movie I watched. I'm not going to start until I at least finish one of my other stories but I just wanted to post this part up since I'm really excited and because I love Minyul couple.

Thanks for reading what I have to offer and take care because I care,

love from coolgirlaamy
