Chapter 23
Rainy Day RomanceCharlotte's POV
I watched as Jinsang cleaned the living room, all he did mostly was clean. I didn't know if he was doing it to show his gratitude or if he was trying to look like an extra good husband so I'd take him back
It was probably both
He smiles at me as I sit at the kitchen table, he had just finished making dinner for us.
I was still asking myself, "If he loved me, why did he cheat on me?"
"Why did you do it Jinsang?" I ask him as he wraps the cord to the vacuum
He sits across from me, "I already told you why I did it. I knew you were falling for Kai, and the lack of attention you gave me, made me seek it in other women. But I've apologized a billion times, haven't you forgiven me?"
"Yeah, I forgive you, but all this cleaning and cooking you're doing for me doesn't change anything. We can never get back together, you broke the trust and I have feelings for a completely different man"
"How can you still love Kai? Didn't he abandon you?"
"No, he ran away so you wouldn't use abusing him against me"
"I'm not even that strong anymore, he probably could beat my now. You're just using that as an excuse"
"He's going to come back, and when he does we're going to be together"
"And what if he never comes back? Charlotte, you're about to turn 25, you can't be waiting around for him"
"So what I should just be with someone who cheats on me?"
"I'm not going to do it again, I swear"
"That's not good enough Jinsang" I get up and go to my bedroom
What he said was starting to get to me, I felt like I was going to cry
Kai was coming back, wasn't he?
There had to be some way to contact him.
If he sent Woonha a postcard, maybe I could send a letter to the address he sent it from.
I sat down, wrote this heartfelt letter and sealed it in a envelope. Now all I needed was the address
I called Woonha but he wasn't answering, I called about 10 times
"I'll just go over there, he should be coming home from work at this time" I grab all my things and head for the door
"Where are you going?" Jinsang asks me
"You're not my husband anymore, I'm not obligated to answer that" I respond and close the door behind me
When I get to his apartment I see him walking out of the parking garage
"Woonha!" I call his name and he looks over at me
"What a lovely visit" he tells me, "but I'm guessing it has something to do with Kai"
"How did you guess?" I ask as we're in the elevator
"Because no matter how much I wish you'd come visit me randomly, you like him and not me"
"I like you Woonha, you're a good friend"
"That's nothing" he whines as we step out of the elevator
"I just need to see the address on the postcard, I have to mail something to Kai"
"What? A love letter?"
"Something like that"
"Okay, but you have to wait out here for a second" he tells me as he puts the key in the door
"Why? You have a girl in there or something?"
"Something like that" he smirks as he walks in and leaves me in the hall
"Okay, you can come in. I have to go look for the postcard"
I go in and sit on the couch, I look around and remember times I spent with Kai here
"Make yourself comfortable, take your shoes off. Your clothes too if you'd like" he jokes
"I'm comfortable enough, I'll keep my clothes on"
"Here it is" he pulls out a card from the trash near the couch
"Why did you throw it away?"
"What are you suppose to keep them?"
"Yeah usually"
"I saw it as like a note, you throw notes away"
"Well I'll be happy to keep it"
"It's all yours, have fun writing love letters" he tells me and I make my way to the door
As I'm opening it, someone's pushing it on the other side and I look up to see...
"Kai?"
