Pawprints
Description
Yumi was never a fan of pets, yet one day she finds herself stuck with a cat of all things. Deciding to do her friend this one favor, she allows the feline to take residence in her small apartment. She soon finds, however, that those jade eyes didn't just belong to an annoying pest.
Foreword
With a grunt of exhaustion I managed to crack my eyes open, peering around blearily. The sunlight spilling into my bedroom was tinged orange, signalling that my 'short nap' ended up being longer than I originally planned. Rolling onto my side, I took in the digital numbers blinking on my clock. 5:17.
Oh .
"I'm going to be late!" I screeched, scrambling out of bed. Snatching my clothes off the top of my dresser, I bolted into the bathroom.
After the quickest shower known to man, I hurriedly shoved on my converse before throwing my bag over my shoulder. Jade eyes blinked owlishly at me from the couch as I threw open the front door, shouting behind, "Don't go crazy on the catnip, you little !"
An offended yowl was heard just before my door closed and I shook my head in bewilderment.
I swear sometimes that feline knew what I was saying.
