Little By Little
True FeelingsI arrived home around four p.m. I was tired even though it was only the second week of school. A lot of things happened last week so I couldn't study much, however, I had a good reason, I'd made a friend. I smiled as I remembered it, from the bottom of my heart I was thankful to God that he put Dahee in my life. Seeing that my motivation was drifting away along with my main objective, I slapped myself with both hands to pull myself ready for studying.
I can't think that now, I have to study. Just a bit.
I headed to the kitchen to take some bubble tea and cookies to make a pause while I'm studying. Then I went upstairs to my room and put the platter on my desk, which was a mess with lots of papers and pencil leaves and my sketch note was almost falling to the trash bin. When I was about to throw myself to the books, I realised that I'd forgotten the napkins. I stayed there, pondering what to do. With a big sigh, I went downstairs to the kitchen and this time, I noticed that there was a blue paper that was on the fridge's door.
«Eunsoo, you need to go to the supermarket to buy your dinner because Mom and Dad will come back late tonight. The money's on your desk. Don’t forget to lock the door and eat well.
Love, Mom.»
That ruined all the schedule I made for that evening however it was a good way to avoid at least 40 minutes of studies. I went upstairs to my room and changed my clothes into a pair of black leggings, a sweatshirt with «Gold» written on it. When I was done, I grabbed a grey coat and made my hair into a ponytail. I put the money in my pocket and put on a pair of grey boots.
After locking the door, I walked down the street, admiring the beautiful evening, which was warming my face although it was winter. My neighbourhood was a very calm place to live, it was very quiet and all my neighbours - at least the ones I knew- were very friendly. A few blocks away, there was a grocery shop whose owner was very kind, yet a little bit stubborn about the amount of food the customer took. I was one of her "victims" because I didn't eat much usually, she almost ordered me to take more food. On my way to the shop, I decided to buy jjajangmyeon, it was very tasty since it was the owner who made it every day. It was around five p.m, so I thought it was the perfect time because I didn't like to walk when it was dark and the streets are safe at that hour... not that I was afraid or something.
