Forever
I Can't Wish for Eternity 「永遠に叶わない」"I'm going to America."
"What?!" All of them shouted.
"Yes." I told them. I sipped from my glass of Cola. I looked at each of them. Their faces were hilarious. I need to control my laughter, I thought.
"When are you going there?" "How long will you be staying there?" "Which state in America?" "Why do you need to go there?" Questions were immediately said after a few seconds of silence.
"Guys, relax." Breathe in, breathe out. "I'm leaving a week after graduation."
"But graduation's just a week from now!" Sho said.
"Does that mean you're not going to attend a university here in Japan?" Oh-chan asked.
"I sent in my application form to the University of California yesterday." That's a lie.
"So soon.. And it's the first time we heard about it." Ai-chan said.
"You're moving to America just because of the university?" Jun asked.
I didn't know what to answer. I didn't know if I was to say something unnecessary.
"I guess." Maybe that was a safe answer.
"Isn't it much more fun here?" Nino crossed his arms. "With us?" I was at my limit.
"I'll be right back." I stood up. I walked out of the diner. I was scared. I couldn't let them see my tears. I stopped walking by the corner of the street. I looked at the weak light from the playground. I walked closer and sat down on the swing. "Idiots." I couldn't help but cry.
It's not my fault that I was born with this disease. I didn't wish for my heart to be this weak. My doctor said that there is a chance for me to be cured if we act now. I just want to live free. I hate being rushed to the hospital from time to time because of attacks. I hate not being able to run and do strenuous activities.
What I hate the most is...
"Chiyomi!"
I looked up. I immediately wiped my face. "Sho.." I stood up. He walked towards me. "Sho.. Why-" Ah, you idiot. Hugging me will only make me cry more.
"Why do you have to hide your tears?"
"Sho.. I'm sorry."
"Eh?" He leaned back. But I hugged him tighter.
"Please, just let me stay like this for a while." I just didn't want this to end. I really don't want to leave. But I still can't tell them. So all I can do is.. No, all I want to do is just to be with the five of them as long as I can.
"Chiyomi.." Sho said with a rare high voice. I couldn't help but giggle. Sho can be really cute sometimes.
"Ha?! What's funny?" I let go of the hug.
"Nothing." I smiled. "Let's head back to the diner."
"O-okay." We walked back towards the diner. Sho opened the door for me.
"Eh? No one's here.." Our table was left with 6 glasses of cola.
"We all went out to look for you." Sho sat down on his chair. "Lucky me, I was the first to find you." He mumbled. I'm not that deaf, idiot. I giggled.
The door flew open and two noisy guys came in.
"Ah! Sho! You found her!" Ai-chan shouted.
"Chii, where did you go?" Jun asked. Sho was about to answer.
"I went to the convenience store to eat cream puffs." Big lie. But these two are pretty stupid to believe what I said.
"You pig! Why didn't you tell us?" Jun laughed. I really can't believe I'm leaving these idiots.
"You should've bought one for me too~" Ai-chan complained.
"That's exactly why I wanted to escape from you guys! So that I could enjoy my delicious cream puffs~~" I was faking everything, my smiles and laughter. I looked at Sho who has been quiet for a while now. He was looking back at me with a straight face. He could be mad.
The small bell chimed and the door flew open. Oh-chan entered the diner while catching his breath and his hands on his knees.
"Oh-chan?" I wonder where he went.
"Chiyomi!" He looked up and ran towards me.
"Oh-chan, where did you-" Hug. What is with you guys.
"Thank goodness, you're here now." Crap, I'm really going to cry. "I thought you'd be at the cemetery..." I felt his warm hug become tighter. "..crying all alone.." He whispered. Why are you guys making me cry now..
"Huh, why would she be at the cemete-" Ai-chan's words got cut off when Jun put his hand on his shoulder.
"It's her father's death anniversary today.." Sho said softly. I hate this. The atmosphere in the diner feels heavy. It was quiet. No restaurant music was playing. We were all still standing up.
"Oh-chan.." I walked backwards to stop the hug. It's not that I was embarrassed that the other customers could see us. I was on the brink of crying.
But then, we started hearing a weird voice getting louder. He was singing.
"Finally." Jun said. The door flew open.
"Arashi~ Arashi~ FOR DREAAAAAM~!" He sung loudly, causing everyone in the diner to look at him. Even the people passing by on the street were pointing at him.
"Kazu! How many years did it take you to get here?" Ai-chan said.
"She's already here." Sho sat down.
"Where did you go?" Oh-chan asked him.
"I was just at the convenience store the whole time." Nino snorted. Oh.. "I was craving for melon bread so I went straight there after you guys ran in different directions."
"Here's another pig!!" Ai-chan laughed while pointing at him. I glanced at Sho, a bit worried that my lie would be revealed. He was looking right back at me with the 'it's-your-fault' look.
"Wait." Jun stopped laughing. "Wasn't Chiyomi at the convenience store too?"

I can't continue lying forever. I can't keep on believing in such miracles that could make me stay with these five idiots forever. But I still do.

TO BE CONTINUED!
Yes IT'S NOT YET OVER!!
Reason why Sho was the one who found Chii: in the first chapter, Sho's POV, there wasn't enough cheesy scenes if you compare it to the other members' POVs. So to give justice~
So I might be very late in posting the next chapter... and I haven't even decided whose POV it'll be in. So tell me what you think of this chapter!! Oh, and I'm writing a new fanfic by the way :) Ninomiya x OC, the introduction post and the prologue are already posted in my livejournal, pocky16.livejournal.com ^_^
