{Unicorn Plushie}

“Yah Yixing, what are you looking at?” Kris says as he pushes 's head gently. Yixing had been staring into space for the last ten minutes and that couldn't be very healthy. It seems nowadays, all Yixing does is slip into his dreamland.

“Huh?” Yixing says as he stutters slightly, looking up at Kris, who was wearing his thick frame glasses and hugging his stuffed alpaca Ace. Only god knows how their other group member Jongdae saw something special in the dorky giant.

“What were you looking at?” Kris says as he raises a eyebrow, eying his group member suspiciously.

“Uh...Whoa what is Chanyeol trying to do to Jongdae? Looks like he is trying to steal your boyfriend!” Yixing says as he points wildly at the two trolls' direction. Chanyeol has his around around Jongdae and they both are laughing at some youtube video on Chanyeol's phone.

“Don't try to change-”

“It's boyfriend stealing season.” Kyungsoo says as he pretends to clean the coffee table. Yixing mentally thanks his owl-like group member as Kris stiffens slightly before marching over to the trolls and pulls Jongdae into his arms. Who knew the leader of EXO M could be so possessive of his boyfriend? Yixing could only shake his head at the couple as Jongdae tries to soothe Kris' jealousy.

Everyone in their dorm is starting to couple up, except Baekhyun and Chanyeol. They were secretly dating Tiffany and Taeyeon of SNSD. So much for Baekyeol and Taeny. Kai is with Kyungsoo, Luhan is with Sehun, Kris is with Chen, and even Suho is with Tao. Only Minseok and Yixing himself are still flying solo and Yixing would be lying if he said he didn't find Minseok attractive.

The younger sighs as he lets his thoughts travel back to the object of his affections, Kim Minseok, who was currently sleeping in his room. He has been crushing on the older male since they were put together in the same group. He admires Minseok's dedication to his career and his down to earth personality but sadly the elder doesn't seem to feel the same for him.

Every time he saw Minseok, the older male would be staring at Luhan and it hurts Yixing more than it should. Minseok was never his yet it felt like he belongs to Yixing. It's stupid right? To lose someone who was never yours to begin with.

“Yixing?” A voice says and it breaks Yixing out of his trance as he looks up to see it was Luhan this time. Luhan and Yixing are pretty close but the latter is still angry with the way Luhan had broke Minseok's heart to get back together with Sehun.

Yixing's heart clenches terribly as he remembers the night when Minseok left the restaurant early to go home and he had secretly gotten up and followed him back to dorm. 

Yixing sets his jacket on to the couch in the living room as he heads to Minseok's room. His footstep ceases as he hears quiet sobs coming from bedroom. He listens to the sobs until it all seem to fade away and Minseok's bedroom lights were off. His heart twists painfully in his chest as he wills his feet to move closer to the room, pushing the door open slightly but luckily Minseok didn't seem to notice.

Yixing's eyes widens as he sees Minseok on his bed, curled into a ball. He slowly steps into the bedroom, reaching for the table lamp and turns it on before sitting on the edge of Minseok's bed. His fingers brushes Minseok's cheek gently, wiping away remaining tears.

“Why couldn't it have been me?” He chuckles bitterly as his eyes sees the picture of Luhan and Minseok in the wastebasket. His heart aches in his chest, as he brushes some of Minseok's hair away from his forehead.

“I love you.” Yixing says softly as he leans down and presses his lips gently against Minseok's. Yixing smiles weakly as he pulls away, pulling the blanket further over Minseok's body. “I wish you would just let me be your hero.” He sighs and presses another chaste kiss on Minseok's lips before getting off the bed, and turns the lamp off.

In the dark Yixing grabs Minseok' hand and squeezes it gently in his own. He couldn't help but chuckle softly at how their hand seem to fit perfectly.

“I love you.” Yixing whispers softly, pressing a kiss to Minseok's hand before heading back to his own room before any of the other exo members return from their dinner.

It has been a month since Yixing kissed Minseok yet nothing has changed between them. Minseok still doesn't see Yixing as anything but a friend and Yixing doesn't know how much longer he could stand being in the friend-zone.

“What is it Luhan?” Yixing says as he stands up, running his fingers through his hair.

“Can you go get Minseok from his room? Kyungsoo just finished dinner.” Luhan said, giving Yixing his puppy eyes. Ever since their break up and recieving Minseok's text last month. Luhan didn't know to approach or talk to Minseok when they weren't in public.

“Alright.” Yixing says as he walks past Luhan towards Minseok's room. Yixing sighs as he knocks on the door gently with his fist before pushing the door open gently when he got no reply. He chuckles softly at Minseok's sleeping figure on his bed, the latter is currently hugging the unicorn plushie Yixing had given him last week and curled into a ball with his blanket wrapped around his small frame. 

"Aish, you make it hard not to love you." Yixing laughs as he sits on the edge of the bed and pokes Minseok's head gently before pulling the blanket off the elder's body. 

"Hyung, wake up it is time to eat." Yixing coos as he shakes Minseok gently, laughing as the elder snuggles closer to his unicorn plushiee. 

"Wake up hyung." Yixing grins as he pulls Minseok's arm gently, taking the unicorn from Minseok's arm. 

"Yah, my unicorn." Minseok whines as he sits up on his bed, rubbing his eyes childishly before making a grab for the stuffed plushie. 

"Oh no you don't, you have to get up for dinner." Yixing says as he moves the unicorn away from Minseok. He couldn't help but smile at how Minseok looks so adorable when he is sleepy, and how he wore clothes a couple sizes bigger than his own for pyjamas. Yixing chuckles as Minseok continues trying to steal is unicorn back but fails badly as Yixing moves the unicorn behind his back. 

Minseok pouts, puffing his cheeks before jumping on top of Yixing, sucessfully knocking them off Minseok's bed and onto the floor. Yixing groans as he wraps a arm around Minseok's waist, siting up slightly. His back hurts from the impact with the floor, as he tries to focus on the person in front of him. 

"Hyung, are you alright?" Yixing asks when his eyes finally managed to focus themselves on to the man that is sitting on his lap. Yixing blinks as he notices Minseok's cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "Hyung?" Yixing says as he sits up and grabs Minseok's arm, checking for bruises. "Are you hurt?" 

"No, I'm fine." Minseok stutters as he scrambles off Yixing's lap and looks down at the floor. His heart beat rapidly in his chest as he picks up his unicorn plushie, dusting some of the dust off of it. He had been having feelings for Yixing for a couple weeks now, ever since the younger had given him the unicorn plushie. 

"Minseok hyung, I got you something." Yixing says as he pushes a wrapped box into Minseok's hands.  Minseok just blinks as he looks up at the younger, setting the box on his bed and tries to carefully not rip the wrapping too badly. He blinks when he opens the box hestantly, hoping it wasn't just some prank to scare the hell out of him. 

"It's a unicorn plushie..." Minseok says as he holds up the plushie, a smile spreading across his lips. He wraps his arms around the plushie and hugs it happily to his chest. "Thanks Yixing!" 

Yixing grins as he pecks Minseok gently on the cheek, chuckling softly as the elder blush furiously at his action. 

"Hyung, I have healing powers right? and I know you haven't been happy lately so I got you this unicorn plushie for you. It will help you feel better if I'm not around to help you myself." Yixing says softly as he smiles, his dimple showing. 

"Thank you Yixing..." Minseok says softly as he hugs the plushie closer to his chest. 

His heart beating rapidly in his chest, his stomach twists in a good way as he smiles. 

"It's time for dinner." Yixing says softly as he walks towards the door, if he looks at Minseok any longer, he might just spill his feelings and risk being rejected. He has loved Minseok for so long, even when Minseok was with Luhan. He would rather his feelings remain inside his heart than hear that Minseok didn't want him. 

"Yixing wait!" Minseok says as Yixing stops in his track, his heart beating rapidly in his chest. 

"Yes?" 

"I.." Minseok stutters as he looks down at his unicorn plushie, it fondly. 

"Hmm?" Yixing says a he turns around, taking a step closer to Minseok. The older of the two blushes lightly, biting gently on his lower lip. 

Minseok looks up at Yixing's smile, he takes a deep breath to calm his nerves. He had his heart broken before, he knows what it is like to have someone rip his heart out and break it infront of his eyes. He didn't have anything to lose now, Yixing wouldn't hold it against him even if he rejects him. 

"I really like you."

Yixing smiles softly, stepping closer to Minseok and he wraps his arms around him, resting his head on Minseok's shoulder. Minseok stiffens slightly but relaxes into the hug, closing his eyes and leans closer into Yixing's hug. 

"Spolier alert, I really like you too Kim Minseok." Yixing says smiling as he tightens arms around Minseok's small frame.

"Please don't hurt me, I don't know if my heart could take it." Minseok mumbles softly into Yixing's chest, tearing up slightly as he drops the unicorn plushie on the ground and hugs Yixing back tightly. 

"I can't promise there won't be any pains but I promise I'll be there to heal you. I'm a unicorn after all." Yixing grins as he places a chaste kiss on Minseok's neck before tilting Minseok's head up gently with two fingers and pressing a light kiss on Minseok's lip. A reasurring kiss. Minseok kisses back softly before pulling away, crying softly into Yixing's chest. 

"Our first kiss." Minseok stutters through his tears, blushing red as he looks down at his hands.

"Actually our third." Yixing says, smiling sheepishly as Minseok's eyes widens in surprise.

"Whe-"

"Guys, are you- YIXING DID YOU MAKE MY BEST FRIEND CRY?" A voice screams in horror as Yixing spins around, tightening his arm around Minseok protectively, his eyes staring into Jongdae's angry ones. 

"No! These are happy tears!" Minseok laughs as Jongdae blinks before breaking into a grin. 

"Kris, you owe me money! I told you they like each other!"

"Don't you think it's unfair to make money off your boyfriend?" Kris grumbles as he stumbles into the room, wrapping a arm around Jongdae's shoulder and gives Yixing a thumbs up. 

"Nope, hand over my money." Jongdae says as Kris rolls his eyes and pecks the younger on the cheek, dragging him out of the room to give the other couple some private time. 

"My unicorn plushie is on the floor, it's gonna get dirty." Minseok whines, laughing as he wipes his eyes with his arm sleeves. 

"You don't need it now that you have to real one." Yixing says he picks up the plushie, setting it on the bed. 

"Good point." Minseok mumbles and presses his lips against Yixing, who returns the kiss happily. 

Even though things ended horribly with Luhan, maybe Minseok needed to get his heart broken  in order to meet someone like Yixing and Minseok couldn't be happier.
