Creeping Revenge
Description
It all began when Jung Saein, senior inspector of CDU (crime drug unit) of Police Headquarters of Seoul, was found dead in a black garbage bag on a side bank of Han River. Her visible injuries told the pathologist that she obviously fought and struggled before taking the deathly gunshot directed on her heart. However, there were no significant evidences whatsoever to hunt down a single suspect even if it was clear that she was murdered. In the end, the file was officially announced closed until new (if any) information came up.
Her older twin sister Jung Haein, senior inspector of SAU (street affairs unit) of Police Headquarters of United States, shortly returns to South Korea after being notified about the unfortunate news. Although she was unimpressed with Saein’s closed case, there was nothing she could’ve done to prevent it. But, she wasn’t going to let the murderer get away that easily; she decided to transfer into PHQ of Seoul where she was to lead OCU (organized crime unit).
One week prior to Haein officially entering OCU, Saein’s funeral was held. But that night when Haein desperately returned to Saein’s apartment where she had planned to stayed, something really weird happened. Lights started flashing on and off, the T.V started switching channels uncontrollably and the taps just suddenly by themselves. The next thing you know, Haein felt a strong force pierce right through her that knocked her out cold on the floor just as the clock had struck midnight.
The very next morning she woke up on Saein’s bed, confused and traumatized. She had no memory of what had happened after she passed out or even how she managed to move from the floor onto the bed. Then, the notification tone on her phone rang; she had just received an email from her dead sister, Jung Saein.
This is, Creeping Revenge.
Foreword
The Jung sisters _ Jung Haein (24) and Jung Saein (24) are twins who lost both of their parents in a car accident at the age of 9. They then started living with their aunt who took good care of them until they finally had enough money saved up from working part-time jobs to rent a little apartment. The two had always looked up to their father who was once a police officer and therefore after their high-school graduation, they applied and got accepted into Korea’s Police Academy. Two months into their career, Haein got chosen to attend special training in America due to her outstanding performance. She didn’t want to go as she couldn’t imagine leaving her twin but it was Saein who encouraged and supported her to take the opportunity. In the end, the sisters were separated across the globe. Even so, they didn’t grow apart; every day they’d talk over the phone, send each other emails, and see each other through Skype etc. Eventually in just under 3 years (a surprisingly short period of time that could possibly break the record in police history), they both climbed up the ranking and got titled senior inspectors.
They might be twins who looked exactly the same but their personalities are beyond polar opposites. Haein was the brave, confident, hot-headed, stubborn one while Saein had always been the bright, cheerful, easy-going one. If you were to meet them, you’d find Haein to be quite intimidating and Saein to be the most approachable. Despite the differences though, they both share very kind hearts.
Park Chanyeol (25) _ He may seem extremely smiley and happy but on the inside, he has troubles of his own that he chooses not to share with others. Just like the Jung sisters, he was also a record breaking one who became senior inspector when he was only 21. But unfortunately, he had left the force a year ago after a ‘particular’ incident. Prior to leaving though, he was the one who had lead OCU. Now, he lives a pretty normal life after opening a coffee-shop called ‘Satin’ with his good friend Do Kyungsoo.
Kim Jongin/Kai (23), Byun Baekhyun (25) & Do Kyungsoo/D.O (24) _ They’ve all been friends with Chanyeol since high school. If you’d ever want to know more about Chanyeol, they are your best sources. Kai is your typical rich-kid who doesn’t know what to do with his life so he randomly opened up a 24-hour bar where he hangs out all the time. Kyungsoo co-owns ‘Satin’ with Chanyeol and has an addictive passion for cooking and baking. Baekhyun, on the other hand, is perhaps the one that stands out the most; he is a genius with IQ of 190 and finished medicine school specializing in Psychology when he was only 20. Unlike other Psychiatrist, however, he has major troubles with socializing and interacting with the public, ironic isn’t it? So rather being in hospitals, he hides himself in Korea Medical Research Centre where he continues his outstanding research work in Psychology. Some of his works had already won Nobel prizes and improved the psychology medical field substantially.
Shin Taehyuk (26) – OCU Inspector – Ability: Power _ He’s hardworking and useful when it comes to fighting or anything that required strength but on the flip side, he is also extremely dull and naïve like a little boy.
Won Soobin (26) – OCU Inspector – Ability: Communication _ Every unit needs a flower that brightens the room and this was her. She’s a pretty girl who gets along with absolutely everyone except Taehyuk. She’s good at the things she does but chooses to slack off whenever she can.
Lee Hanbyul (24) – OCU Inspector – Ability: Technology _ This girl is in a different time-zone than the others; she sleeps all day, all night. She’ll pull herself up for work but even there, you’ll only see her eyes closed and head on the desk. Her education background is what keeps her on the force until this day. She grew up in Europe where she completed all of the hardest, most difficult computer courses there was and topped the list of hackers in the world. There’s no one that knows computer like her.
Yoo Jaesuk (42) – OCU Inspector – Ability: Everything _ Everyone calls him Yoo-senior. Not because of his age but for his experience. He started his career in OCU 20 years ago and hasn’t left since then. With his status, he has been given countless opportunities to be promoted to higher positions but he had always refused the kind offer. He says he’s content with being an inspector and nothing more.
