I saw you opening the door and held it, waiting me to step out of your place, step out of your life. I fight back the tears that threaten to roll down my cheeks as my trembling voice rose.

“Please,” I begged, looking up at you to find a thrill, a single sparkle in your gaze to keep hope and hanging on it. But unfortunately, you remain as marble, your face unbearably impassive, your cold and harsh glare evoking a sentence without appeal. I can’t hold back my tears anymore when I saw my awful work. This is what I’ve done. I’m the one who makes you become like this.

“Please” I plead once again, voice and body shaking. “I just ask for one more chance. Let me come back. I… I love you !” I shouted in despair.

I saw your jaw clenching.

“I gave you countless chances to come back to me and stay for good. But you always end up leaving me ! As I said, I’m done waiting for you !”

Your mask of passivity crumbled gradually as you get angry. Strangely, I was relived. If you’re getting angry, it was because you still have feelings for me, isn’t it ?

“I’m sorry !” I cried louder than you to be heard. “I’m sorry for have been a jerk ! I’m sorry for not realizing that the most precious thing I could ever have was right beside me ! I’m sorry for everything I put you through ! A thousand times, I’m sorry !”

I was panting, breathing hardly after shouting so much. Yet my eyes didn’t leave your face. During a second, a single second, you looked troubled, and on that second, I thought I had won. Terrible mistake. Soon you regain your composure and chuckled bitterly, daring to confront my eyes for the first time.

“How ironic life could be… Not so long ago, I was the one crying and begging you to stay. Did you look back at that time ?”

I bowed my head in defeat, knowing the answer as well as you.

“Not once.” you said sharply. “Now get out.”

I don’t know how long I stay there, dazing, after the door was shut behind me. The only thing I remember is sliding along the wall, facing your closed door, now symbol of your closed heart. I face palmed myself, sighing. You know the worst about this whole thing ? I can’t even blame you. I’m honest enough to say it’s all my fault. Weird, isn’t it ? The bad guy who recognize his faults, not that common. A bitter smile cross my face as I hit the back of my head on the wall once, then again, and again, my fists so tightened that my knuckles whitened. My gaze meet your door again, and my heart clench on my chest. I hide my face in my hands, not bearing the sight anymore. I choked, breathing laboriously as I felt myself drowned.

“Tao…” I cried softly.

Annyong everyone ! I'm here with my first EXO fanfic, and I hope you'll like it. The idea of the plot came by listening a song. It was suppose to be adapted to Super Junior, but it's been a while I read EXO fanfic and I told myself : why not ? The main pairing is the issue of a poll I post here. I think they fit perfectly together. Hope you'll like it !
