The next morning after the awful argument was awkward because Jooeun had stayed in the bedroom the whole night while L.Joe stayed out in the living room.

They didn’t even try to make up with each other. Jooeun was too upset to say anything to L.Joe and L.Joe…well, he felt like killing himself at the moment because he knew that he hurt her a lot, just too much to make up for it.

Neither of them could sleep the entire night because so much were going on in their heads. They were thinking too much to even worry about sleeping.

Waking up the next morning and finally seeing each other after twelve hours of ignoring each other was the most awkward thing ever.

They met eyes for a brief moment before looking away and doing their own things.

L.Joe poured himself is cup of black coffee and Jooeun got herself a bowl of cereal. They sat at the table across from each other.

It was awkward that they were sitting across from each other, but they weren’t going to change that because it was just too much work to do.

However, L.Joe frowned seeing that Jooeun was only eating cereal when she should have been eating something more nutrition that cereal but what rights did he have at the moment to say something? Nothing, especially not after telling her to abort their child.

Jooeun quickly finished her cereal and brought her bowl to the sick. She washed her bowl, placed them on the dish rack, and left the kitchen.

L.Joe looked at his black coffee. That’s what he felt like at the moment. He felt like he was a black shadow that Jooeun just ignored. His world was also pitch black at the moment because he made a mistake yesterday and so many times before that.

A dejected sigh escaped his lip as he brought his mug up to his lip to take a sip of his bitter black coffee.

Jooeun sat down at the edge of the bed. She heaved a sigh and ran a hand through her hair.

She turned her head to look at the digital clock that was on the nightstand. It read 8:05 a.m.

Another sigh escaped her lip as she placed a hand on her flat abdomen.

“Even if he doesn’t want you, I still want you. I’m not going to abort you because I’m not heartless. I love you and I’ll protect you, don’t you worry. Mommy is here for you.” Jooeun vowed.

Then her phone beeped indicating that she received a message.

Jooeun stood up and walked over to the nightstand. She unplugged her phone from its charger and opened up the message.

It was from Chunji.

‘How are feeling?’ – Chanhee

A small smile stretched on her lip reading his message. “At least there’s someone that cares.”

‘I’m fine. Thank you for yesterday oppa.’ – Jooeun

She pressed the ‘send’ button and locked her phone. She gave her phone a squeeze with a soft smile on her face, “Chanhee oppa is really sweet.”

Then her phone beeped again. She opened up the message.

‘I know that this may be too much, but…would you like to spend Christmas together?’ – Chanhee

Jooeun’s eyes widened. It wasn’t at the message but the fact that Christmas was just around the corner, literally.

She quickly went to the calendar app on her phone and saw that Christmas was just three days away. How could she have forgotten such an important holiday?

Then something hit her.

She and L.Joe weren’t on good terms at the moment. Christmas was three days away and she wasn’t planning on forgiving L.Joe anytime soon because how could he be so heartless and tell her to get an abortion? That was just cruel.

Making up her mind, Jooeun replied back to Chunji.
