CHAN: I-I’m sorry t-to [she shakes her head]

JIAH: No no no! It’s not your fault! It’s not your fault..

CHAN: Still I wanna say s-

JIAH: It’s not your fault for having an Alzheimer's disease. [Chan freezes]

CHAN: W-what? [He stammers as he get more confused with her talks]

JIAH: You’re suffering from Alzheimer's disease, I know.

CHAN: Well, uhm. Okay. You must be really a fortune teller lady [he smiles in shock]

JIAH: The boy.. the boy in that story. He confessed everything from the moment he got to know me. He told me everything, but I’m still hurting, confused and mad. Can you please tell me why he had to confess everything in that book and not telling it to me personally?

CHAN: I’ve no idea why.. [She again cries, real hard this time]

JIAH: Alzheimer's must have taken away everything from your head, huh? [Looking at him full of pain and frustrations]

CHAN: What do you mean?

JIAH: The author chose to confess everything on a book so he would remember our story, he said. It’s been three years since the writer of that book who happened to be the main character got hospitalized due to Alzheimer's disease. He started acting weirdly for several months, as if he’s a different person, then he started forgetting everything, and I mean everything that he almost got his own house into a fire because he forgot the gas on for the whole day. He was cooking special dishes then for his date.. with me. I’ve been with him in the hospital to take care of him, unfortunately I got sick too due to stress, heartbreak, and everything as the doctor told me, so I only get to see him when I’m allowed to. I’ve been sick I think almost a year due to depression. Will you believe me that he’s in the same hospital with me now?

CHAN: So he’s here? Where? Should we visit him? [Chan’s still confused while Jiah smiles warmly but still with tears streaming down her cheeks]

JIAH: Well, I don’t think we should go anywhere

CHAN: Huh? But I think it’s best if we should visit him so you’ll be able to meet him again, and for me to finally see my favourite author!

JIAH: I said we don’t have to go anywhere else.

CHAN: But why?

JIAH: You must be proud of yourself CHAN.

CHAN: Well I know I have Alzheimer's but my nurse keeps repeating that my name is CHAN, so how did you know my name? And why should I be proud of myself?

JIAH: Because I’ve known you for years! And you are the author of that favourite book of yours! [She beams at him]

CHAN: W-what—

NURSE 1: JIAH! I told you not to escape again! Where did you get those clothes? Oh my God! C’mon lets go, we’re going to v-vi [the nurse who approached them looks so surprise to see Chan with her]

NURSE 2: CHAN! Ohh Jesus I thought you’re lost! [Another nurse came] Hey, what are you girls doing here? You brought her here to Chan? [The other nurse shakes her head then they both look so confused of what’s happening-seeing their two patients together without their help]

CHAN: She said I’m a writer.. and she’s the main character of this book [He shows them the book as he looks at them expecting any reliable answer with his queries in mind.]

NURSE 2: Chan.. she said that many times before, everyday!

CHAN: You must be kidding me, I heard it just today! [Chan insists, shaking his head, as he looks at Jiah who’s laughing at them then giggles.]

NURSE 1: I think we have to go, she’ll drink her medicine too [pulls Jiah up then walks away from the two]

NURSE 2: [as the two are leaving] Chan, we all know that she’s suffering from a major depression but she was telling the truth so you have to believe everything she told you about that book. She tells other people too, the same thing again and again!

CHAN: It’s because she’s crazy! Heck I thought she’s referring to a mild depression.

NURSE 2: Son.. [she chokes] I know everything, okay? So just do as I told you to believe her. You both promised to be together after she found out you are ill, and you guys actually did! You’re staying in the same hospital, talking every day and all even if you’re both suffering together inside and out as if you both planned it. [Then they left the place with Chan so mixed up while his mother is silently crying behind pushing his wheelchair towards the hospital]
