Fade to White

Description

They'd been around each other for years. And while absence made the heart grow fonder, it was them being together for so long that made his feelings evolve into something almost sinful.

Foreword

"I'm sorry Chanyeol, I--," Joonmyeon paused, looking up to see Chanyeol stretched out on the chaise lounge, one leg drawn up and the other planted quite firmly on the ground. The gangly young man had his left arm resting carelessly across his adomen and the other hung over the side, back of the palm sweeping the floor.

Joonmyeon carefully set the cordless phone in its base. He nearly tiptoed on his socked feet as he neared the other, half-forgetting that Chanyeol was and still is a heavy sleeper. Time was no element as he found himself situated between the toned, jean-clad thighs, his right hand braced on the back of the ornate lounge chair. 

His chain dangled above the sleeping man's face, and he carefully used his left hand to tuck it into his shirt. He then braced his free hand next to Chanyeol's head and leaned in, his eyes fixed onto the soft, slightly pouted pink lips. Unconsciously, Joonmyeon's eyes flitted toward the camera that was just there on the coffee table. It wouldn't hurt to move and...

The photographer bit his lip.

No.

A moment of indecision and he closed the distance, meshing both their lips together in a one-sided dance of withheld affection. As he pulled away, Joonmyeon watched as the tiny knot in Chanyeol's forehead disappeared and the small mouth parted to utter one word.

"...Kris."

It wasn't until a lone, salty tear landed onto Chanyeol's cheek that the photographer finally moved.

Suho/Chanyeol

This is a little ficlet that has the intricacies of our dear leader Suho whose water-like personality seeks to oust the fire that is Chanyeol and claim it as his own. I liked the idea of it after seeing them in a picture together and it looked amazingly awesome to try. So I do hope you come to enjoy this in the long run. It's been a while since I saw something along these lines in the world of fanfiction that isn't a video game or anime and thought it would be a breath of fresh air for a lot of people.

Two to one you've seen crap like this already but oh well! :3

Chapter 1: So even with this just beginning, I'm already frustrated with both characters. lol Chanyeol definitely because he really is being lazy (do your own homework dammit) and guilting Joonmyeon into doing it for him. Then again, Joonmyeon is still encouraging it by actually being guilted, though to be fair, he did sort of create the monster he's currently dealing with. >.>

I do very much like how you described Joonmyeon's actions though and especially his apartment. You've done a beautiful job of explaining what he does for a living and how his tastes tend to run. The focus on his love for Chanyeol is painful too, particularly in how nonchalant Chanyeol himself is in regards to tossing that word around apparently rather meaninglessly (except as a way to try and get what he wants). Though I'm wondering what exactly Joonmyeon has in mind for the chaise. hehe

And while it is short, it certainly does a good job of setting the stage and creating this tension between them, even if we only see it in Joonmyeon at present. Plus, I'm also wondering when you'll explain further the troubles you hinted at for Chanyeol during the latter end of his high school years.

Good start so far and it will be most interesting to see how this plays out. :)

I find myself glaring at the screen again, undecided on whether I want to completely spazz over the incredible hook you've created once again or rail furiously at the scene itself. Holy mother of... everything woman! You can officially call me ensnared and I very much look forward to the next installment of this one. O.o

Also, the post is simplistic but beautiful. I love the images you chose and it's just enough to catch they eyes.

But seriously... Why you do this to me?! >.< *grumbles to self while I sit in a corner to wait*
