C H A P T E R  1:

F R I E N D S

W H A T  I  L O N G . . .

I enter this life w/o even thinking of the future, the fans that continuously refuse to see me singing/ dancing w/ them, the haters who are bashing my name and my entire family. But none of this group’s member consoles me w/ a true heart. They might think that way, the way the fans think, but then, I chose this path so I must not give it up. It takes a lot of time and effort to reach this dream, I studied hard just to make my dad agree in this dream, I mustn’t take my effort in a waste, so I will continue what I started. With this, I started to ignore my hyungs, not minding them, just playing this games to avoid heart failure, I know they are seeing my worth now, but too late, I’ve already started to live on my own, I realize that I can survive in this group even without their concern and help, and also, in so many ways, I’m better than them.

They notice that I’m on my own world, some try to approach me, but they end up neglected so they never try to approach me again. Well, I don’t care, all I want is to survive in this industry even without their help, and I’m so positive that I can make that happen. But an incident happen, while I’m in a recording for a show, someone knock me down, all I remember is a man carrying me on his back rushing, is he abducting me? No, I must fight back, but its too painful to move, I cant do anything, I’m so hopeless.

I wake up in a very unfamiliar place, I remember what happened awhile ago so I rushed on getting up, but my back, my back is so painful, while rubbing my back someone opened the door.

‘You’re finally awake! How is your back?’ the man who entered the room said. I just stare at him, looking at him from head to toe as if examining him, but the real thing is I’m trying to figure out where I see him, he looks so familiar. While my chin, I heard him laugh. Woah! This man is…

‘Choikang Changmin!’ I said shouting! He laughs again and motioned me to keep quite.

‘Yah~ they will kick you out if you shout that loud again, aish this kid.’ He said, I got in a deep thinking again, changmin, the maknae of dbsk is actually YOUNGER THAN ME!

‘Yah~yah~yah~.. aren’t you younger than me? Why call me a kid? Call me hyung’ I said drastically.

‘But I’m a sunbae, call me sunbae,’ he said, aish, while speaking at this kid, he’s actually making me feel that I’m speaking in a mirror, he’s way of speaking is same with mine.

‘Haha! dumbfounded? Sorry its my way of speaking so excuse me for being so evil.’ He said again, I cant help but smile from those words, did I finally found my other half now? I mean, the person who can truly understand and accept me?

I’m just staring to him, he don’t count as my dongsaeng coz we’re only days away from each other, but he is really a great sunbae, how should I speak to him? I feel great to be with this person, something that I never felt with my Hyungs before, a comfort from a friend whom I just met today.

He might realize that I’m in my deepest thoughts so he walk closer to me,

‘Hey! Eat this food that I bought, its getting colder kid!’ Yah! Why calling me kid again? I want to shout at him, but seeing the bright smile flashing from his face, I felt a different happiness. I’m really hoping that we can be friends.

A week past, but I haven’t seen him yet. My sunbae who just change my vision on people, the first person who makes me feel comfortable, oh wait, did I sound gay?haha. But I do believe that ‘that’ person touches my heart in a different way.

‘Hey, President Lee is looking for you!’ I heard Sungmin said, I stay still and look at him w/ a blank eyes, then back to my PSP.

‘Hey, get up or else you’ll see how evil he can be.’ He said while dragging me. This boy doesn’t know anything, President Lee is my family’s friend, and he won’t even dare to pinch me.

I got up, not because I’m afraid of our president, but because this guy is so annoying, he talks like a girl and acts like a girl friend! Tsk. I need to get out of here.

I rushed to our president’s room, knock at once and randomly opened the door.

‘Woah..Changmin-ahh.’ I blurted.

‘Yah!Call me sunbae!kid.’ he said.

‘Call me hyung!’I said, all of the people inside the President’s room laugh at us.

‘ I guess you two are good friends now, well I’m happy for both of you!’ I heard Mr. Lee said.

I looked at Changmin if he’ll react on what our President says, but he only give me a warm smile. A smile that I long to see from my hyung.

Even if I don’t get the love of my members, but the love and care of this person is enough to survive in this company.

I was in my deep thoughts when he grabs me and tell our managers and president that we’ll be hanging out.

When we’re outside the room I suddenly said,

‘This is my first time to hang out w/ an SM artist since I debuted.’ I looked down and felt embarrassed. Why did I suddenly open this topic?

He tapped my shoulders,

‘Don’t worry, starting this day, we’ll hang out as much as we can and get some friends and girls too!’ he said laughing.

I know that I’m days older than this guy, but why does he acts as an older person than me? Or he’s just taking care of me? I don’t know the reason, but maybe, this is his way of caring his hobaes? Whatever the reason is, I’m happy.
