Fears
Description
Siwon is terrified of spiders.
Foreword
"No Kyu, you don't understand! It was a huge spider!!"
The younger boy sighed. "Siwon, I'm sure it was tiny."
"It wasn't tiny, it was the biggest spider I've ever seen."
"Bigger than you?"
"Well.. No.. But you're scared of snakes and they're smaller than you!"
Kyu put down his glass. "That's completely different! They could actually cause pain! What do spiders do?"
"They move weirdly.."
Sighing again, Kyuhyun left his boyfriend in the kitchen and went to get dressed.
On the way to practice, Kyuhyun saw Siwon sitting on the bus, and went to sit next to him.
"Sorry, this space is saved."
"For who Siwon?!"
"For Ryeowook."
The boy ran into the car and sat next to Siwon, cuddling him close as Kyuhyun went to sit next to the leader.
"Having an argument?" the older boy asked.
"He's scared of spiders and it's ridiculous. When I told him that it was ridiculous, he got angry at me."
Leeteuk put his arm around Kyu. "It's not ridiculous, everyone's scared of something. And it only seems stupid because you're not scared of it."
"What are you scared of hyung?"
The leader looked down at the floor. "I'm scared of being lonely" he said, hugging Kyu tighter.
"You'll never be lonely hyung, we'll stay with you."
Leeteuk smiled. "Thank you. Now, why don't you help Siwon with his fears? That would be a nice thing to do."
Nodding gently, Kyuhyun agreed.
Later that night, he took a spider into the bedroom and put it on the wall, next to Siwon's pillow. When the taller boy came in and lay in bed, he saw the spider and screamed.
"Ahh! Make it go away Kyu!" His eyes were wide, and he moved quickly to get out of bed, falling onto the floor in his desperation to get away from the spider.
"Siwon, I'm just helping you to face your fear. I want to help you, I'm sorry for teasing."
"I'm fine being scared of spiders, really!"
"You can't live your entire life being scared of them."
Siwon just moved away from Kyu as the younger boy picked the creature carefully from the wall and cupped it in his hands so that it wouldn't fall.
"Yes, I can! I've managed to survive this long with being scared of them.."
Kyu moved a step closer to Siwon, and held out his hands, making a circle around the spider so that it wouldn't escape.
"Siwon, please come and sit with me. Won't you just look at the spider?"
"No."
"Please? What if I put him in a glass and covered the top?"
"It could get out."
"He wouldn't." Looking at Siwon with wide eyes, he spoke in a sad voice. "Don't you trust me?"
"I do trust you, but you always play pranks.. What if you throw it at me?"
"That would be cruel, I wouldn't do that.. I don't want to hurt the spider."
"What about me?"
"You'll be safe, I won't let him hurt you."
Moving slowly close to Kyuhyun, the younger boy could see how much Siwon was trembling, and the way that he was having to take deep breaths to deal with his fear.
"Here, he's in a glass. He won't hurt you."
Looking at the spider, Siwon shuddered as it scuttled around the edge of the glass, its legs moving horribly.
"Kyu, please take it away."
"You did well Siwon, really well. Why don't you hold him?"
Cuddling together, Siwon glared at his boyfriend as he slept.
"You'll regret making me touch a spider Kyuhyun. You'll regret it so much.."
The next morning, Kyu screamed as he saw a snake slithering around in the bathroom.
"Ahh! Siwon!"
The boy just laughed darkly, pulling on his shirt.
"Face your fears Kyu."
