Tao gulped as his wide innocent eyes stared at the back of Kris's navy t-shirt. The mere thought of what his next actions could be caused a faint pink to settle across his cheeks. His next move could them forward in their steady friendship...possibly escalating them into uncharted territories, like holding hands and such rather than just casual conversations. It was the ultimate display of intimacy. Much farther than Tao had dared go with anyone. Such show of affection was something a wife would show only to her husband.

God, that thought was enough to make Tao's heart skip a beat or two. Such a step should be contemplated years in advance, but certainly not now!
