Mayhem, destruction and life changing, my life has just been. My parents murdered, all my brothers as well and half of my people are hiding for their lives. As if being the chief’s daughter wasn’t bad enough I now have to make decisions I thought I would never have to make. Should I leave to save my people or stay and just try to help them? If I stay there are not enough of us to heal who are wounded but if I leave they could face even more destruction and I would come back to a waste land of the dead. I want to get revenge on my peoples deaths as well as my families but will I cope without seeing my people? Visions flash in mind everyday about my family. My eldest brother holding me in his arms as I try to break laughing to my other brothers to hug them, my mother singing to me every night, my father’s wise words and the smell of pinecone always drifting through his hair. And my youngest sister, even though she was sent away for her own protection god knows what happened to her. And my god if she’s dead, then that is the ultimate point of no return. This is my destiny that I will make but whatever happens, blood will be spilt, by whom is my choice.
