New York (Part 2)
Rule Breaker
Heyong nervously fiddled with her drink as she waited for Yoongi and Taehyung at the small cafe they always go to. How would she break the news to them? How would they react? She couldn't help to imagine all the worst-case scenarios in her head.
Her head shot up as she heard the soft tinkling of the bell. Taehyung looked around and grinned when he made eye-contact with her. He quickly bounced over and took the seat across from her. "What's up?"
"Um.. Let's wait until Yoongi gets here." Taehyung pouted and cutely shook his shoulders. "I don't wanna wait! Tell me, tell me, tell me! Please??"
Heyong cracked a smile but shook her head. "Be patient Taehyung. Patience is a virtue."
"At least a hint. Come on Heyong! Just a teeeensy one? Please?"
Heyong sighed and rolled her eyes. "It's important. There. Happy?"
Taehyung pursed his lips in discontent. "No. That was a terrible hint. You Heyong. This jerk better hurry it up."
After what seemed like forever to both Heyong and Taehyung (mostly Taehyung), Yoongi burst through the door with a red face. "Sorry! There was traffic, and I overslept and-"
"Shut up and sit down! I wanna know what Heyong called us for!" Taehyung snapped. Yoongi closed his mouth and quietly sat down between the two. They both turned to look at her with expectant eyes, making Heyong feel burdened and uncomfortable. Her gaze dropped to her hands that were intertwined in her lap and cleared .
"So.. You know how my brother left to New York again?" They nodded. "He, uh, kind of offered for me to come with him and-"
"WHAT?!" Taehyung screamed. He shot up out of his seat, almost knocking his chair back and earning the condescending stares of many. Heyong gave him a stern look as Yoongi pulled him down.
"Taehyung, you're embarrassing us," Yoongi mumbled. He stopped looking at Heyong and dropped his gaze.
Heyong bit her lip as she saw the anger and dejection in his now cold brown eyes. "You're leaving us, aren't you?"
