Description
There were times when everything seemed perfect, like we would never have to worry about who would be missing when we went to school the next day, like no one had just lost another brother, sister, or lover. We were just normal kids who were all ready to finish up school so we could go out and get a job, hang out with friends, or maybe even start a family. But of course it all changed when the war started, then some boys started enlisting, and then there was a draft. Most people didn't even agree with the war. The worst part was that there was nothing we could do about it; we could only adjust our lifestyles to wartime - or at least that's what we thought.
Sometimes it takes just a small spark to light the fire of rebellion, and sometimes that spark is us.
