"I'm not talking to you Kangin!"

"But it was just for fun!"

Sungmin turned around angrily. "How is you kissing another guy fun?"

"I wasn't really kissing him, it was just with our lips!"

Sungmin looked at Kangin incredulously. "Kangin, the definition of a kiss is pressing your lips against someone. How were you not kissing if it was 'just lips'?"

 

Kangin saw the tiny tears appear in Min's eyes, and could sense that the boy was at breaking point. Sitting him down gently on a chair, he softly his hair.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Donghae dared me to do it, and I know that that's a terrible excuse, but it's true. I won't hurt you again Min, I promise."

The words were genuine and soft, and Sungmin could hear the sincerity in his voice. But he shook his head.

"That's what you said last time Kangin..."

 

The older boy almost broke into tears as he remembered the last time he had hurt his boyfriend. Completely drunk, he had kissed a small blonde boy, mistaking him for Min. Sungmin hadn't believed his excuse.

Feeling terrible, he had vowed never to do it again. But he had.

 

"Do you want me to leave, Sungmin?"

His heart broke as he saw the small nod. "I need some time to think..."

Watching Sungmin's back as the boy left for the bedroom, Kangin lay on the sofa unmoving. His head in his hands, he began to weep soundlessly for the pain he had caused his lover.

 

In the bedroom, Sungmin slowly got into his pajamas, not looking forward to spending a night alone. To lying in the cold bed all by himself, without Kangin to hold him and kiss him.

But he had to think quietlyr, to think about whether he could trust Kangin enough to carry on.

So he lay in the bed and thought about all of the things that he loved about Kangin, and all of the things he didn't.

He was just thinking about his lover's warm embrace when there was a tiny knock at the door.

 

Slowly the door opened to reveal a tearful Donghae.

"I'm sorry Sungmin.."

Knowing that the boy was talking about the dare, Sungmin smiled forgivingly. 

"It's okay Hae, don't worry."

"I am worried though.. I heard you two arguing, and it's all my fault. I dared all the guys to kiss a stranger."

"He shouldn't have gone along with the dare, it was Kangin's fault. He's done this before."

"Please don't break up with Kangin... You're my second favourite couple..."

 

Hugging the boy close, Sungmin whispered in his ear. "Who are your first favourite couple?"

"My umma and appa."

Min hugged the sweet boy and wiped away his tears. He knew that Hae didn't have bad intentions, that it was just a game. He knew that Kangin hadn't taken it seriously either, he hadn't thought of it as cheating because he hadn't loved the other guy. He loved Min.

That was why he had said he wasn't 'really kissing' him, because to Kangin, a real kiss had to be heartfelt.

He had said it was 'just lips', because his heart wasn't involved.

Hugging Hae closer, Sungmin made his choice.

 

Slowly getting out of bed, Min tucked the blankets over Hae as the boy lay asleep. Padding to the living room, he saw the figure of Kangin lying on the sofa.

He knelt down next to him, before reaching out to his cheek. His heart broke when he felt the tears on his fingers.

Sobbing, he hugged the sleeping boy tightly, weeping into his pajama top.

"M-min? Don't cry Minnie, come and cuddle with me." The boy shuffled over sleepily to make room for his boyfriend.

 

"I'm sorry for making you cry Minnie, I hope that you have a much nicer boyfriend in the future, not someone stupid like me."

"You're not stupid Kangin, I love you. Just please don't do it again, I'm begging you."

"I'll never do it again Min, I promise I'll be only for you. I won't hurt you again. I love you Minnie."

 

He hugged the boy tighter and hesitantly pressed his lips against Min's. When he felt the other boy kiss back, he relaxed and kissed further, massaging his lips against his lover's. He put his arms around Sungmin and put one hand on the back of his head to deepen the kiss, softly caressing the boy's hair as he did so. He broke away and pressed little butterfly kisses to Sungmin's neck, and the boy couldn't help but smile.

Kangin's heart was fully involved in this kiss, and Sungmin could feel the love in every motion.

 

This wasn't a peck on the lips for a dare, or a drunken make out session, this was a deep loving kiss, showing affection and trust. After hesitating for a millisecond, Sungmin kissed back exactly the same way.
