Eunhyuk loved the cold Winter nights. He loved the frost that shone on the glass, and the orange glow from the fire. He loved the hot chocolate, the sweet taste of happiness. The blankets that were soft against his skin.

But most of all, he loved being with Kyuhyun.

 

His boyfriend would sit for hours with him on the sofa as they watched the cheesy christmas movies, cuddling with him and just talking.

Kyu wasn't the most affectionate of people in public, but Eunhyuk knew that most of it was due to shyness. Whilst Sungmin could hug and dote on the members without caring who was looking, Kyuhyun had felt the wrath of the haters, and so had had to build himself a strong reputation. He felt nervous to hug and kiss, to let his guard down in case he made a mistake and they hurt him again.

 

But when it was just the two of them, under warm blankets, Kyu was a completely different person. 

Not scared of what people would think, he would shower Eunhyuk with kisses, hugging him close and apologising for not showing him love more often. Hyuk knew that Kyu felt guilty for not hugging him in public, not holding his hand and kissing him. But Kyu had no reason to worry. 

Although Hyuk felt jealous of Siwon and Ryeowook for being able to hug and kiss so easily, he wasn't angry. He knew that he would recieve the same level of affection in private.

 

He felt his boyfriend shuffling under the blankets, and he smiled at Kyu. The boy was rubbing his hands together to keep warm, and Hyuk took his boyfriend's cold hands and rubbed them gently between his own. His skin was cold, making Hyuk worry.

Why was the boy so cold? Hadn't he kept his hand under the blanket?

 

He moved the blanket a little to cover more of them, and then turned around to look at the boy, feeling worried for his health. Suddenly he gasped and tears came to his eyes.

Kyuhyun was holding out a tiny box, that was open to reveal a beautiful diamond ring. Hyuk covered his mouth in shock and nodded yes to Kyu's proposal.

As the ring slid onto his finger, Eunhyuk hugged Kyu tightly and kissed him under the blankets, tasting the warm chocolate on his lips.

Now he had another reason to love Winter.
