I met him

 

“Mom…what is it like outside??” JiYong asked out of the blue while looking at the huge wall surrounding their house. “Outside? You mean beyond that wall?” JiYong nodded. “Just random trees and plants..nothing more.”

 

JiYong is a teenage boy who never experienced life outside the walls of their house. Everything JiYong needs and desired was given to him, but one thing is forbidden for him. That is to go beyond their house’s walls. JiYong is very beautiful compared to other boys his age and it was one of the reasons why he was kept away from people.

 

He never asked anything in return but as time pass by JiYong learned that what his parents are doing is locking him up. He got curious and that one night he went out to explore something he shouldn’t.

 

That night, he quietly escapes out of the restrictions of their house and found away out of the wall. What his mother said was true. It was just trees and plants but what caught his attention made him go further. There were a bunch of chattering in a distant. He followed them and led him outside of the forest.

 

The city was still awake when JiYong arrived. People are busy on their way home. He was having fun looking around, exploring the city. One thing went wrong when he bumped on someone. “YAH! WHAT THE HELL?!!!” the man shouted. “I’m Sorry..” JiYong apologized and continued on his way. But the latter surprised JiYong when he was violently grabbed on his shoulders. He winced in pain. “Stop…it hurts..” JiYong cried.

“Do you think you can run off just like that?! I’m gonna rip your pretty face!” the man said.

 

Before JiYong could fight back he is grabbed by someone on his wrist releasing him from the grip of that man. “Who the hell are--..” they ran off before they could finish. “You should go home.” The taller man said. “JiYong-ah!!” his mother’s voice was heard in a distant. “Young Master SeungHyun.” She bowed.

 

“JiYong! I am very disappointed of you!” his father yelled. “what if that person hurt you? It’s a good thing Young Master SeungHyun was there!” JiYong got scolded for the first time. 10 minutes passed and JiYong ended up inside his room. “Why did they react that way?...and who was that person anyways…?” JiYong asked in the air. “Sorry I didn’t introduce myself formally. I’m Choi SeungHyun.” JiYong jumped at the sudden voice. There was this man again the one who helped him.

 

“Is it okay to leave them alone like that?” JiYong’s mom asked out of her worries for JiYong. “He’s gonna be fine. Don’t worry its SeungHyun. You know how long he waited for JiYong.”

 

“Choi SeungHyun?” JiYong repeated.

“Sorry for entering your room the sudden.” SeungHyun said as he walk around. JiYong was still sitting on his bed looking at the tall man. JiYong was a little scared because the man’s were fierce. Yet over all he was handsome.

 

“that…earlier…”

“hm?”

“Thank you..”

“No need to thank me..it was my obligation..” SeungHyun sat on the side of the bed. His expressions were cold but JiYong could tell he was no harm to him.

“Your room haven’t change.” SeungHyun noticed.

“Huh? How can you know that? I just met you.” JiYong said in confusion.

“So they haven’t told you huh?”

“Told me what?” Seungyhyun looked at JiYong’s confused expression.

 

“Anyways..I need to go..See you tomorrow JiYong.” Seunghyun left JiYong sitting on his bed with a question.

 

After SeungHyun left JiYong felt alone again, empty to say. He didn’t know but he wants SeungHyun to stay longer.

 

A parallel labyrinth

 

“You’re 21?” JiYong doubted.

“I am..” SeungHyun insisted.

“Ehh…” JiYong cupped SeungHyun’s face and look at him closely inspecting his face.

“Okay I’m convinced.” JiYong laughed. Its been a month since SeungHyun started to visit JiYong everyday and it made the boy happy.

 

JiYong was sitting on the garden’s porch waiting for his friend to visit him again but its getting dark and there was no signs of him. “JiYong-ah..come inside its getting cold..” his mother said.

 

“I—I’ll come later…” JiYong answered tears almost fell. He never thought not seeing that friend for one whole day would make him that sad. He didn’t eat dinner and immediately went to bed. “I don’t like it when he is not around..” JiYong said before falling to his sleep. On the other hand, downstairs SeungHyun arrived with a bunch of apples that JiYong loves.

 

“He’s already upstairs..” Mrs. Kwon said to SeungHyun.

“What happened to him?” SeungHyun said since he knew JiYong don’t sleep that early.

“I think he got tired while waiting for you..he was sitting in the garden the whole day and he haven’t eaten anything..” his mother said.

 

Without hesitations SeungHyun went to JiYong’s room. After JiYong’s mom left SeungHyun sat beside JiYong who was cuddling his pillow with a frown written on his face. He swept JiYong’s hair and leaned closer to the boy’s ears. “Sorry I kept you waiting..” SeungHyun whispered. JiYong heard the older man’s voice and it woke him up.

 

“SeungHyun..” JiYong said with a cracking voice. SeungHyun smiled. Then all the sudden JiYong cried.

“I thought you’ll never visit me again!!!” JiYong cried and pounced on SeungHyun who was happy at the boy’s reaction. “Why would I do that? I have no reasons to do that to you..”

“I was so upset..” JiYong said on his shoulder.

“I’m here now so don’t be..Your mom told me you didn’t eat..is that true?”  SeungHyun asked. JiYong pouted and nodded.

 

“I should make sure you’ll at least eat something before I go.” SeungHyun said.

“You’re leaving already?” SeungHyun nodded. “Its getting late and you should be resting.”

 

After JiYong ate, SeungHyun tucked him in bed and never left until JiYong falls asleep. “Keep doing unnecessary things like this, remind me that I’m important to you.. ” SeungHyun leaned his forehead on the boy’s forehead and left a kiss before leaving him.

 

“Young master.. I think JiYong would be shock if I tell him about that thing..you and him..” Mrs. Kwon said.

“Don’t tell him anything..I want him to be the one running towards me..I want him to fall for me without being told to do so.”

 

Another morning shines and the sun woke JiYong’s slumber. Eyes gazing through the white sheets of his bed, his mind ruffled like a lake glided by the passing wind, one person comes to mind. SeungHyun.

 

“Good morning JiYong..” His father greeted.

“I have a good news.. SeungHyun invited you over to their house.. ”

“Really?”

“Yes. He asked our permission and we agreed that you’ll stay with him for a week since your mother and I have business to do. He’ll pick you up at lunch time.” The news made JiYong’s day! Staying with SeungHyun for a week would be fun.

 

“JiYong..!” His mother knocked on the door. “SeungHyun is here.. better hurry!”

“Coming mom!!!!” JiYong answered enthusiastically. He came running down the stairs and saw the man standing at the front door of their house.

 

“SeungHyun!” JiYong greeted.

“There you are.. Lets go?”

“Um!” JiYong smiled brightly.

 

His mother watched how JiYong acted and it made her smile but at the same time that moment was kept on her mind like a tattoo. It’s the last time she’ll be seeing her son smile like that, it hurts her.

 

“Is there something wrong?” SeungHyun asked when he noticed JiYong was so quiet. The boy shook his head. “Nothing, I was just curious why mom’s expressions were like that..”

Grip of Death.. I’m in Love with You.

“Wow..” JiYong exclaimed. They arrived at SeungHyun’s place and it was beautiful. The house was inside a forest and the view was beautiful. “Its beautiful here..” JiYong said. The house was all nice but there was something missing. Where’s SeungHyun’s family?

 

“I live alone.” SeungHyun said.

“Where are they?”

“They’re not around anymore…”

“Sorry…I just..” JiYong gasped when SeungHyun grabbed his hand.

“I’ll show you the rest of the house.”

 

JiYong was amused by how the house was uniquely built, it was so light and open. “this is your room.” JiYong roamed around and sat on the bed. “Thank you SeungHyun..” JiYong said and made SeungHyun feel a little guilty for him and on what he will become.

 

Its Saturday night and JiYong was suppose to go home tomorrow morning, like that’s going to happen. SeungHyun heard a thud from JiYong’s room followed by the scream of the boy. Its time. The man walked towards JiYong’s room and entered it only seeing the younger boy on the floor, frightened and shaking. Tears were glistening on his cheeks.

 

“Ji..its okay..”

“…Don’t leave me..” JiYong cried. “They’re hurting you..and left me..” He stated. SeungHyun embraced the boy. “I wont leave you.. I’ll stay with you.. and forever..” SeungHyun said as he open his mouth on JiYong’s bare neck. “I love you..” JiYong said. SeungHyun closed his eyes shut and buried those sharp fangs on the smaller boy’s neck. JiYong arched his back but didn’t scream, it was painful yet he felt warmth. Slowly JiYong can feel the hands of death gripping on him. He held SeungHyun tight with all his left strength.

 

“S—SeungHyun..” JiYong said still drained from the older man’s bite. SeungHyun groaned burying his fangs deeper, JiYong clenched. He felt JiYong was unconscious that’s when he decided that it was already done. He carried the boy and laid him on the bed. Wiped off the stain on his neck.

 

His eyes slowly opened and the blurry figure appears to be someone he knows, to say THE ONLY ONE HE KNOWS.

“Are you awake Ji?” SeungHyun asked. JiYong slowly sat up his hair a mess and the only thing he wanted to do is touch SeungHyun’s face and he did. SeungHyun enjoyed JiYong’s touch. The boy smiled. “Do you know who I am?” SeungHyun asked. “My…my love..” JiYong answered.

 

SeungHyun snipped a little hole on his neck with his nail and blood came running down. JiYong’s reaction to it wasn’t pretty. His eyes went deep blue, a sign that he was bound by SeungHyun’s blood. He will only drink the man’s blood and trying to drink someone else’s will kill him. If SeungHyun disappears, he too will disappear. JiYong pushed SeungHyun on the bed and tried up the blood SeungHyun is giving him. But the latter JiYong bit SeungHyun gently.

 

“Don’t cry..” SeungHyun said when JiYong whimpered and felt tears on his neck. “I’m sorry Ji..I have to drag you into my world…I’m sorry…” JiYong stopped when he heard SeungHyun’s words.

 

“Don’t..” JiYong said. “Don’t say that..I know who wanted to hurt you..and on what you’ve done. I’ve earn the courage to protect you. I can kill them for you..” of course now JiYong knows everything.

 

“I wont let you do that..I am the one whose going to protect you..” SeungHyun kissed JiYong passionately and the boy kissed back. “and I will never let any vampire taint you..”
