Description

The scars one gets from their beloved heal the slowest, if they will ever heal. Time is not always the best medicine – it only helps with the pain’s delay.

Two lovers are reunited after many years, and, in exchange, the old scars are brought back to the surface. Whether they make it through the sufferance or not, it will be soon revealed.

Foreword

Prologue

The big city’s lights might seem overwhelming to one’s eyes, endless shades racing to capture everyone’s attention, to exhibit their beauty and grace. The air is contaminated, vivid, the concrete blocks thumping with noise, with life.

The petite silhouette of a woman is visible, as she stands with her loneliness accompanying her in front of the French windows, simply gazing down at the pace of life sprawled before her. Her back is , just one grey sheet pulled around her hips and covering her s.

A sigh leaves her plump lips and she pushes her long, hazel hair straight on her back. Her skin would be glowing, if the moon were out. But this, this is a moonless night, where the stars also succumb to the night and the artificial light.

An invitation dressed in ivory shades lies on the coffee table from her room, opened and left there in haste. It’s an invitation to a wedding. And not just any wedding, but her cousin’s.

“Hey,” a deep voice is heard, coming from the bed, “come back to the bed.” The man says sleepily.

The woman turns around ever so slightly, looking at him over her shoulder. Thick lashes frame her mahogany eyes, which are nothing but glassy. She isn’t affected by him, the man she’s welcomed inside of her not so long ago.

And then, gracefully stepping away from the window, and heading to the bed, she stops by the bedside, looking down at the man infecting her sheets with his cologne.

“I think I should go back,” she takes a moment to say his name, but, when noticing he’s already drifted back to sleep, she leaves her words hanging. He won’t try to stop her anyway.

She plays with his hazel locks for a while, looking at his sculpturesque face, while drowning in her thoughts.

“I should return to South Korea.”

I teased you in a blog post about this, remember? Or maybe not :)

Anyway, my feelings were quite messed up lately, and this story plays an important role in... Hmmm... Me, getting my thoughts in order, I suppose.

It's only a two-shot, with the usual slice of life dose.

Enjoy ;)

EDIT: What I forgot to mention is that this story might not be suited for minors under the age of fourteen, so if you could, please ignore it. It contains certain subjects that... well, aren't that 'clean' and I don't want trouble. Though yes, it's not mature enough to be rated, for it contains no explicit scenes or dialogues, but still. I did warn you though!

Added a trailer. Check it out :)

Chapter 2: I loved her confidence, strength and boldness. I'm glad she turned into a powerful woman and not one of the "I'm still in love with him even if he kills me, I'll forgive him cuz I'm dumb" characters.

Chapter 2: I loved this!!! Thank you so much for not making her take chanyeol back. She deserves to move on and have someone who cares for her. I'm glad chanyeol got what he deserves. Plus Kris is cherry on top, thanks for casting him as the one she ends up with and not turning him into a stupid lovestruck rebound sidekick.
