Behind The Times

[Excerpt] The future can tell you nothing, the present can no longer communicate with the past, but the past—just like the alpha in a pack of wolves—is the brain of everything. It stepped back in fights, rarely ever have a role in one, but it tells you what to do.

I found another reason why I should step 27 years back.

Characters: (Main) Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk

Genre: Family, alternate universe, slice of life, sci-fi (not totally though it has a bit of futuristic sense in it but doesn't take much lead in the story)

Foreword

There’s always room for a story that can transport people to another place. If that’s the case, with this story I’ll take you back to the year 2013, somehow still in the beginning of the millennium. One of those many years The People’s Republics threatened us by launching missiles. The year when this country bloomed internationally because of its music, the year our first female president was elected in.

The year when I haven’t even been planned on being born, the year my father was just my age, nineteen.

It was the age of rebel, the age of studying crazy hard for college’s admission, the age of friendships, relationships, and something so cliché I cringe, love.

It is so difficult now for us people in this generation to be freed like how it was, competition everywhere. It is so hard to build relationship with anyone without feeling envy or greed, even when you’re feeling the overwhelming love. There is nothing such as overwhelming.

I was so surprised when I firstly arrived in that year that people actually bowed to each other, address each other oh so politely despite the growth of technology that was so fast and had no big difference with 27 years later. I couldn’t call it ancient, or old-fashioned as I like it being there so much to the point I forgot the reason why I travelled 27 years back, which was to find the solution to my mother’s hideous weapon whenever I tried to clear things out: “You are just like him.”

A/N: Umm... Hi o/ I might not be that familiar in this site but I have to say I'm back with a story after a while. It's a new style I rarely write though, a first person's point of view and it will keep being that way until I finish this story (IF I manage to, of course). I'll update with short but (hopefully) frequent chapters so I hope you'll enjoy and don't forget to kindly leave a response if you don't mind :D
