I'm Right Here With You
Thunder rumbled through the sky with a loud sound as lighting flashed across the sky . Xiumin, who was walking down the hall
at the time, squealed and flew into Luhan's arm . Luhan dropped what he was cooking and fell back with a groan . "Ouch !
Xiumin what the hell ?!" Xiumin whimperd and crawled under the table, pulling his knees to his chest and covering his ears .
Another clap of thunder sounded from the sky making Xiumin scream . Luhan sighed and walked out of the kitchen, coming
back later with a candle, earmuffs, a radio, and a blanket . He turned off the lights and crawled under the table with Xiumin as
he the radio and put the blanket over both of them . Xiumin scooted closer to Luhan and held him tight like a child
holds his teddy bear . "Xiumin I can't breath ... Please loosen your grip ." Luhan groaned again and coughed . Xiumin let go but
stayed close as he put the earmuffs on to block the sound of the thunder . The rest of EXO was out eatting and since Luhan was
the only one who knew Xiumin's secret he chose to stay behind with him .
Xiumin was scared of storms and has been ever since he was a child . A storm blew through town while he and his parents
were at his grandparents house. Glass shards and furniture were thrown around the house causing the death of his parents
while he was only 5 . Ever since then he's been afraid of storms. Luhan sighed and pulled Xiumin so that he was in front of him.
He held his face in his hands and smiled, pecking his lips. "Don't be scared little bun. I'm right here with you." Xiumin giggled
and hugged Luhan, pressing his face against his neck . "Luhan ... Do you think the other members are ok ?" Luhan felt Xiumin
tense and rubbed his back as he nodded "I'm sure they're safe in the restaurant . Don't worry hyung . The weather report said
the storm should be over soon, okay ?" Xiumin nodded and looked up at Luhan .
An hour passed by and the storm only got worse . Xiumin was now in Luhan's arms crying hysterically . He had convinced
himself that the rest of EXO was in danger and Luhan couldn't say that he didn't think they might be in a bit of danger also .
Luhan rubbed Xiumin's back and sang softly to try and calm him down . He got a text and flipped open his phone to see what
it was .
Duizhang: The storm is gonna get really bad really fast . Take cover and stay with Xiumin no matter what . Get a backpack for
each of you and put phone chargers, blankets, pillows, food, water, and a radio in it . If anything happens you'll have everything
you need in that bag . We'll try and get there soon .
Luhan crawled out from under the table, leaving the crying bun in his blanket, and quickly did what Kris told him to . He got a
backpacks for both of them and got all the things on the list . He made sure to pack food that couldn't go bad and put a frozen
water bottle in each of the bags . He ran back over to Xiumin and picked him up, running into the bathroom and closing the
door . "I just got a text from Kris . The guys are fine so don't cry anymore, okay ? He said the storm is going to get bad but
made sure that we got everything we needed in these bags . If anything happens, we'll have everything we need in here ." Luhan
wiped off the elders face and kissed his nose with a smile . Xiumin smiled a little and took his bag into his shaking hands . They
both put on the bags and sat there while they listened to the news on the radio .
Another few hours passed and both were falling asleep . Just before they both knocked out, Luhan pulled out a walkie-talkie and
a mini radio from his bag . "Kris hyung didn't tell me to pack these but I thought they'd be helpful if we were to get split up
somehow . The radio is to hear the news and the walkie-talkie is to contact me if your phone dies and you can't charge it . It
can work from any distance so no matter where I am I'll hear it ." Xiumin nodded and curled up under the blanket next to
Luhan . Lu put the things back in his bag and hugged Xiumin tight, falling asleep with him in his arms .
A rumbling sound emerged from no where . It sounded like a train was headed straight for their apartment . Xiumin woke up
first and quickly shook Luhan awake . He knew that sound better then anyone else . It was the same sound that he heard before
things began to fly and his parents died . Xiumin held onto Luhan with all he had and cried . There were no windows in their
bathroom but that wasn't what he was worried about . The tornado was headed their way and it was going to rip apart the
house bit by bit .
Luhan covered Xiumin's head and quickly pulled out two masks, covering both of their noses and mouths . "If we're up by
the tornado these might help . The wind circling around us will suffocate us so if we cover our mouths and noses maybe it'll help
." Xiumin nodded and pulled the blanket over them . The tornado came closer and closer until it was there with them . The
apartment roof ripped off and things began flying . Xiumin and Luhan held onto each other as they were picked up and
into the tornado along with furniture and other things . The blanket flew off of them and Xiumin made the mistake of opening
his eyes . Dirt and other things flew into them and he cried out . Luhan didn't make the same mistake, he just wrapped his
arms around Xiumin tighter and prayed it all be over soon .
Sadly it didn't end quickly and both had passed out . Their grip loosened on each other and eventually they were split . When it
was all over and done with they were buried under rubble, passed out, and away from each other . This time Luhan woke first
. He was stuck and couldn't move but thankfully a rescue team saw him and helped him up . One of his legs were broken and he
has a fractured wrist along with other bumps and bruises . He noticed Xiumin wasn't around him and pulled out his phone and
walkie-talkie, turning them both on just in case he got a call . The doctor of the rescue team wrapped his wounds and put him
a wheelchair since he couldn't hold the crutches . He had a person roll him around so he wouldn't use his wrist and make it
worse .
When Xiumin woke up his eyes hurt and he couldn't see . Unlike Luhan, he wasn't buried under anything and could get up by
himself . He stumbled around with his hands out, trying to find someone or something he could recognize by feeling . Once he
realized that Luhan wasn't with him he began to panic . He was alone in a place he didn't know and couldn't see anything . He
felt someone grab him and instinctively attacked them . "Who ever you are you should leave me alone ! I know how to fight and I
won't hesitate to attack you !" His voice shook and so did his hands but he got into fighting position and waited for the other to
say something . "I'm not here to hurt you I'm from the red cross to help victims of the tornado . Please let me help you ."
Xiumin shook his head no furiously "I can't trust you ! I can't see you so for all I know you could be lying !" The man got up and
moved towards him slowly, taking one of his hands gently and letting his fingers run over the cross pattern on his shirt . "I'm
not lying . Please let me help ." Xiumin felt the cross on the man's shirt and nodded slowly before he passed out once again . He
didn't wake up for at least a day . Luhan tried calling him multiple times and the one time someone answered it wasn't who he
wanted it to be . He heard a voice on the other end but it wasn't Xiumin . "Yah who is this ? What're you doing with my
hyung's phone ?! If I find you, you're dead !" The person chuckled and sighed . "You and him are just alike . I'm not doing
anything wrong with your hyung, I assure you . I'm from the red cross and found him by himself in the middle of know where .
He passed out and hasn't woken up yet but he should soon . If you would like me to, I can tell him you called and to call back
when he can ."
Luhan studied the voice and tried to listen if there were anymore in the background but there wasn't . Finally after the man on
the other end convinced him he was really a doctor he thanked him for taking care of Xiumin and told him to call back when
Xiumin was awake . They hung up and the doctor went into Xiumin's room . He opened one of his eyes and examined it closely
then let him be . Xiumin woke up a while after that and sat up, calling out to the doctor . The man came in and took all the
required tests to make sure he was ok . When he was done and got the results he figured out that Xiumin was blind from the
debree flying into his eyes during the tornado .
Xiumin cried for a while but once he calmed down the doctor fed him and told him about the call from Luhan . "My name is
Minho by the way . You may call me that or Doctor Choi . Your friend Luhan called and did just about the same thing you did .
He threatened me and screamed at me but calmed down once I told him who I was . I'm sorry to tell you that you are
perminately blind Mr. Xiumin but if you really wanted to get your sight back you could get surgery ." Xiumin shook his head no
as he felt around for his phone "No no I'll be fine . Luhan will take care of me . If you wouldn't mind, Doctor Choi, can you call
Luhan for me ? I found my phone but I can't see which buttons to press ." Minho got up and gently took the phone from his
hands, calling Luhan and placing the phone by his ear . "I'll give you privacy . Yell for me when you're done ."
Xiumin nodded and sighed in relief as Luhan picked up . "Hello ? Xiumin ? Doctor ?" "Luhan where are you ? I was so scared
when I woke up . I thought I was going to be left there to die . Thankfully the doctor found me . Are you ok ?" Xiumin
his blankets nervously . Luhan smiled and nodded . "I'm fine hyung . I broke a leg and fractured a wrist but they'll be healed in
no time . What about you ? Are you hurt anywhere ?" Xiumin stayed quiet for a while which made Luhan nervous . He
prepared himself for the worst . "Minus bumps and bruises I don't hurt .... But I don't think I can say that I'm ok ... I'm blind Lu
. When we were in the tornado I opened my eyes on accident and the debree that flew into them damaged my eyes so bad it
made me go blind ."
Luhan's eyes widened and he gasped . "Hyung I'm so sorry . I'll try to find you as soon as possible and when I do, we can go
home . We can set up an appointment at the hospital for you to get surgery so you can get your sight back . Whatever you do
though don't panic, okay ? Everything will be fine ." Xiumin giggled and shrugged lazily . "You sound more scared then I do,
saeng . I'm not panicking because I know you'll come for me . You'll save me just like you always do ." Xiumin blushed a bit as he
spoke . Luhan smiled wide and nodded . "Yeah . I'll come get you soon . Can you put the doctor on the phone ?"
Xiumin yelled for Dr. Choi like he was told and let him have the phone . "Hello ? Doctor ? Where are you and Xiumin ? I need to
come get him ." The doctor smiled as he flipped through his papers . "We're not in Seoul where you probably are . We're kinda
in the middle of no where . It'd take you forever to get here ." Luhan stood up, forgetting his leg was broken and falling back
down . "I don't care how long it takes me Doctor Choi just tell me where you are !" Minho sighed and nodded "Okay fine . We're
in Gyeryong which is in South Chungcheong . It'll take you a while to get here . Until then I'll take very good care of Xiumin ."
Luhan sighed, rubbing his temples and groaning . "I'm coming now . Tell him to wait for me ." Minho nodded and hung up . He
walked into Xiumin's hospital room telling him the news . Xiumin was so filled with joy he started crying . He loved his saeng
and knew he'd come for him; and if he didn't he knew it had to be for a good reason . He was confident Luhan would come get
him just like he always did .
It took Luhan a month to find Xiumin . At some points he thought he'd never find him . His leg had healed but his wrist was
still a bit hurt . Xiumin knew that Luhan said he'd come for him but it was taking him too long . He was getting impatient and
began to think he'd never be able to be with Luhan again . Doctor Choi took Xiumin out to buy groceries for the week when
suddenly he thought he heard Luhan . Everything that was in his arms fell onto the floor and he instinctively walked towards the
voice with his arms out . When he reached the owner of the voice he began feeling his face to find out if it was really Luhan .
Being together for so long gave them both time enough to figure out what every inch of their bodies looked and felt like . "Baozi ...."
Xiumin froze at the sound of his nickname . His eyes watered up and he hugged the person "Luhannie ... I was so lonely without you . I thought you'd never find me ." Luhan smiled and nuzzled his nose into the older's hair "I told you I'd find you . I wouldn't stop until I did ." Doctor Minho walked up and smiled at Luhan . He waved goodbye and walked out of the store . Luhan took Xiumin's hand and picked up the things he dropped, checking them out and putting them into the car he'd rented . "The guys have been worried sick about you . Now that I found you we can go home ." Xiumin smiled and nodded "Yeah we can go home now . I'm so glad you found me ." He sniffled and wiped off his face, leaning over to kiss Luhan's cheek .
Luhan intertwined their fingers and smiled, starting the car and driving down the street and out of the city . They reached the dorm and every member tackled them with hugs and kisses . Telling the story afterwards to them was interesting . A lot of things happened that neither one of them knew happened . When everything was out in the open and everyone was safe everything went back to normal . Schedules were remade and Wolf preparations were back on . Finally everything was back to the way it should be .
