At an early age, a temptress took my heart captive. With jewels adorning her, her figure became engraved into my very being; no, scorched into it. Do you see these bandages? Wounds are covered, but the scarring transcends past the bodily covering and tortures my soul. However, when harmed, a moth will still play with fire. Soon I understood that even without the fancy adornments, I had fallen head over heels. Just breathing, she was radiant. Although feeling a repressive shadow standing over her, as though Mr. Byun was monitoring the way his weapon worked through those faded fiery eyes, I foolishly thought the enchantress would be mine. Everything valuable to me prior to meeting her lost its worth. I became obsessed with making her mine. Obsessed with ensnaring her just as a gardener hoards the best rose. Yet, I’ve learned that if you truly do love someone, you must let them go, or the blood dripping down from the thorn embedded hands will never stop, drowning all hopes of happiness.
