Worst Dance Ever
Description
"Dara, you have to come to the dance with me!" Bom tugged at her best friend's sleeve. Dara just mumbled in protest.
"You HAVE to! Or else I'll unleash my wrath on you!" Bom threatened the sleeping lump on the bed.
"Bommie, stop it. You're not scary. Just let me SLEEP!" Dara moaned angrily into the pillow before rolling over and flinging the thick blankets over her small body. Bom seethed frustratedly before stomping back up to Dara's bed. She lifted her left leg and blindly kicked the lump off the bed.
"GET UP!" she screamed at the top of her lungs.
"AAH okay okay okay!!!!" Dara picked herself up from the floor and rubbed her eyes sleepily.
"I'll kick you every morning if you don't come to the dance with me. I'll haunt you for the rest of your life," Bom growled with a deep, menacing tone.
Dara groaned. Well I haven't gone to a dance in a couple of years. It's just one night, right? One night where everyone has a date except for me and I'm all alone, but still. Just one night.
"Fine fine! I'll go to your stupid dance." Annoyed, she waved her hand to dismiss the topic, and walked through the door.
"Yay!" Bom clapped happily and bounced after Dara and out of the room. "This is gonna be the BEST DANCE EVER!" she squealed.
"Worst dance ever," Dara muttered under her breath.
This is actually inspired by this absolutely hilarious video. The title of the video is purposely misleading. It's just about dancing :P Watch it! It made me laugh...a lot.
Foreword
Dara looked around the room, blinking at the flashing lights. Her eyes landed on her Park sister, who was dancing it up with her boyfriend, Seunghyun. She smiled seeing how blissful her friend looked with that boy, who used to scare Dara out of her wits.
Her eyes began to roam around again, and stopped when she saw her other two friends, Chaerin and Minzy, hanging out by the bar. They were talking with their two boyfriends, and Chaerin was unsurprisingly hitting her boyfriend Seungri. Minzy and Daesung were just watching, laughing at the couple's antics.
Dara began to wonder things she probably shouldn't be wondering. What will her boyfriend be like? Will he be really nice and rational like Daesung, or really crazy and annoying like Seungri? What will he look like? Handsome? Muscular? On second thought, will she ever even get a boyfriend? But before she could start to try and think of an answer to these questions, her train of thought was interrupted.
"Uh, hey," someone said quietly, barely heard over the blaring music. Dara snapped her head up, surprised that someone was talking to her. His facial features registered in her head, but nothing came across as familiar.
"Hi?" she replied hesitantly. He exhaled, seeming relieved, and smiled timidly.
"I'm Kwon Jiyong. The DJ said the next song would be a slow dance. C-can you dance with me?" he asked, his nervousness almost tangible. Dara smiled at his innocence and adorableness.
"Sure," she agreed, giggling at his squeal of delight and excitement.
Worst dance ever maybe isn't so bad after all.
