Foreword

Once upon a time in a far way land ,where Dragons and invisibility cloaks existed, was also home to a rather normal boy who was destined to fail if he was to seek out fortune. Most likely fail first, and worst.

Kim Minseok was the middle child of three, both being girls. He was not a son of a poor woodcutter or a servant to some rich lord, which might of given him some chance of success. His parents where better than well running a ladies hat shop in the busy but prosperous town of Market Chipping. His mother had died from an incurable illness when he was just 4, his sister Yujin being 6, their father then married the youngest of the shop assistants, a pretty blonde girl called Taeyeon, Taeyeon shortly gave birth to the youngest of the trio,Sohee. This ought to have made Minseok and Yujin look ugly compared to Sohee's fair beauty but it seemed the three all grew up to be handsome and pretty children.

Yujin had a affinity for making confectioneries. Cakes, Biscuits, Cookies, Sweet bread. Whatever she put into her green bowl and mixed together with her wooden spoon it would be to delicious.Starting a Bakery and Tea room was inevitable. Minseok would always find himself eating the icing or the crusty bits of the cake tin whenever he visited.

Sohee's passion was fashion and men. It would be a miracle if she had her arm linked with he same man in one week. One day it would be Chansung, the tall and muscular boy from the corner shop, the other,Kwanghee the ever so funny yet annoying son of the town's mayor. These many men would shower her with expensive gifts, dresses made from the finest silks, hats taller than dogs and lavished with absurd items like feathers, fruits and model houses. Xiumin remembers seeing a fake parrot hidden in her jungle of green feathers. Tacky in Minseok's standards.

Which left Minseok. His skill was sewing. He was not an athletic and or charismatic person, he seemed to be the most comfortable sat in his wooden chair on looking the mountains of the west far far away from his busy town. The west was a dangerous place, filled with foul monsters, wicked witched and heartless wizards. Someday's, sitting quietly on his seat sewing little buttons and the pile of hats he would see a castle. Dirty in colour, smoke pouring from it fumes to show it's dark head in the mists of the mountains.

The Moving castle the girls would squeal and crowd around Minseok's small work space. The castle was said to house a great wizard. Powerful, charming and handsome.

"Look! It's him" One of the girls squealed, the others followed with a giggle

"I hear the wizard of the moving castle deflowers young girls and boys, Then eats their hearts!"

There was a wave of gasps and 'oh my' from the ladies

"Don't be so silly, he only does that to pretty people"

They giggled and gathered their belongings, most likely to be heading to the welcoming parade. Market chipping belonging to the great Kingdom of Kingsbury was in conflict with the Kingdom of Cathrata down south. Their wasn't your lack of propaganda well either, it was everywhere! This was why Minseok never got involved with politics. Unlike his father.

"Minseok~" The plump store assistant cooed placing her large purple laced hat upon her head "Are you coming with us to the parade~?"

Minseok turned his head and gave a toothy grin "No, I'm alright here, you guys go ahead and have fun, i'll close the store once i'm finished with these hats"

The woman chuckled and and happily walked to the door

"Don't be too hard on yourself~" He cooed whilst the younger girls followed her. Minseok sighed and cut the dark purple thread from the needle, listening to their girlish giggles and the shop bell ringing as they closed the door. Sometimes Minseok wishes he was born someone else in some other different time, but he was a keen believer that everyone had a purpose in life and it was destiny that he was who he is now.

He would day dream of venturing to distant lands, witness wonderful beasts, see places he would only dream of.

Dream of that is, the only place he belonged to was his chair in the hat shop, home to a view of the outside world beyond Market Chipping.

He sighed to himself and gothis thread ready for his next hat, smog mixing in with the black smoke of the ever so mysterious moving castle. Home to the great and powerful wizard WuFan.
