She wakes up to the soft light peeking through her window. It's beckoning her to come outside, something she hasn't done much since he left. She deeply inhales his scent, which has somehow lingered since he left. She absentmindedly scans the bedroom with fatigued eyes, vaguely noticing that nothing has moved or changed since he left. Shaking her head, she vehemently pushes the thoughts out of her clouded mind.

       Getting up and trudging to the bathroom, she makes two firm decisions. Firstly, she decides to finally go outside and remember. Too long has she been trying to forget, and it's getting tiring. She misses the triumphant feeling of recollection. She misses the memories that are now just blurred scenes of a bad movie in her head.

       Her second decision...just something she doesn't want to think about for now.

       She gets dressed in a lazily casual white over-sized tee and a pair of grey sweatpants. Ignoring her body's useless calls for food, she stumbles through the room and weakly, slowly, opens the front door.

       All of the scents, sights, and sounds hurtle toward her, and along with them come vivid memories. Memories that bring her pain, memories that bring her happiness, and memories that bring her an unexplainable stuffiness she wishes she could destroy.

       And she remembers.
