Kyungsoo swiped his card key across the lock of his new dorm door and slowly walked inside. It seems that his new roommate already arrive, seeing that one of the beds was already occupied by belongings and hearing that the shower was running. He began to settle down and take his belongings out of his luggage. He then hears the shower turned off. Hurriedly, Kyungsoo whipped out his small mirror, checking his appearance before introducing himself to his new roommate. Who knows? His new roommate could be a major hottie and Kyungsoo can actually get himself a lover. Kyungsoo has never really gotten a boyfriend or girlfriend, even in high school. He was too focused on his studies. This time, now that he’s in college, he decided to seriously look for someone he can love.

Kyungsoo checked himself out in the mirror, making sure his short dark brown hair fell on top of head the correct way and checking any imperfections such as dry lips, bad breath, or tired eyes. He observed his own outfit, which consisted of a light blue collared shirt and black jeans. Everything seemed to be perfect so far. Suddenly, he heard the bathroom door opening and quickly threw the mirror away to an unseen place. He looked over just to see a , fairly tan guy, with a small towel wrapped around his bottom. Kyungsoo quickly looked away, blushing.

“Oh! I am so sorry. You must be my new roommate right? Hold on, let me put on some clothes.” the guy said as he rushed to his luggage and put on a pair of sweatpants. “You can look now.”

Kyungsoo looked at his new roommate, only to be seen wearing gray sweatpants, that began low on his waist which emphasized his V-shaped lower abdominal muscles. His roommate was definitely thin and slender, yet he had some muscle built onto him, especially on his arms and abs. As for his face, it was well defined with a soft jaw line. His eyebrows were thin, yet not too thin to be feminine. He had lidded eyes that consisted of dark inducing orbs and a slightly pointed nose. His lips were tender, which seemed to be oddly alluring to Kyungsoo. His new roommate was definitely a piece of eye candy Kyungsoo could look at all day. Kyungsoo then noticed that he was topless as well, which made Kyungsoo’s face slightly turn pink. Forgetting to introduce himself, Kyungsoo quickly stood up from the bed and bowed towards his new roommate.

“Hi! I’m Do Kyungsoo, your new roommate.” he introduced himself, in a firm tone.

“Nice to meet you. And I’m Kim Jongin. I’m a new student here at SM University. ” the latter replied. Kyungsoo smiled at Jongin and as he looks at his face more and more, his face looks really familiar. 

“Nice to meet you too. And for some reason….you look really familiar.” Kyungsoo told Jongin.

“Oh, really? Have we met before? I don’t really recall you though. Sorry. By the way, you can call me ‘Kai’ if you like.” It finally rung a bell. Kai. There was a Kai in high school. Kai, who was known as one of the flower boys or popular kids during high school. Kai who was known to be one of the best buddies of Park Chanyeol. Kai, the boy Kyungsoo had a tiny pet crush on during high school on due to his amazing looks.

“Ah! I know! Did you go to Soo Man High? I think we went to the same high school together in the same grade.” Kyungsoo asked in excitement. Kyungsoo was also amazed to see how much Kai has changed. In high school, he had the normal black straight, layered hair with bangs that covered his forehead. However, he knows has slightly lighter hair styled to be slicked to the side, giving him a more mature and sophisticated look.

“Yeah I did go there! Damn, sorry. I don’t really remember you Kyungsoo.” Kai replied with a slightly sad puppy face look, causing Kyungsoo want to pinch the latter’s cheeks.

“It’s okay! There was a lot of people in our grade anyways.” Kyungsoo reassured him. Of course he didn’t remember Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo was a total nobody in high school. He had the usual Asian black hair with bangs and no noticeable features, making him blend into the crowd easily. Kai put a simple white t-shirt on and Kyungsoo couldn’t stop staring at his perfect body.

“Where are you headed to now?” Kai asked him.

“I think I’m gonna go downstairs and try to find my friend.”

“Alrightie. I’m gonna meet with my friend next door.” Kai said as he headed towards the door “I’ll see you around?”

Kyungsoo gladly nodded as Kai finally left their room. After he completely left the room, Kyungsoo couldn’t help but to sigh and place both of his hands over his chest.

“What the hell? Why was I so nervous? He is good-looking and I did kind of like him in high school. But why is the feelings coming back now?! Aish! He probably already has a girlfriend. He is soooo out of your league, Kyungsoo-ah.” Kyungsoo muttered to himself. Kyungsoo sighed once again before heading off downstairs to find Baekhyun.

Baekhyun’s eyes were so wide open he could get a run for Kyungsoo’s money. His mouth couldn’t close as his jaw was reaching the floor. Baekhyun dropped his luggage in shock, not believing the sight he was witnessing.

Park Chanyeol stood there with his trademark ‘Happy Virus’ smile as Baekhyun remembered in high school. Only now, Chanyeol had short dark hair that was styled instead of his brown shaggy hair he had in high school.

“Y-You…”Baekyun managed to breathe out.

“It’s been awhile huh? You changed a lot Baekhyun. You don’t wear any glasses anymore, you grew a bit taller, and your hair is different too! So much has changed right?” Chanyeol stated. Baekhyun then begins to storm out of the room, causing Chanyeol to rush out and catch him by the shoulder.

“Where are you going Baekhyun?” Chanyeol asked, surprised. Baekhyun forcibly shrugged Chanyeol’s hand off his shoulder.

“Don’t touch me!...I’m going to the prefects to change my roommate!” Baekhyun yelled.

“You do realize that BOTH roommates need to agree to the change right? And I don’t plan on letting you go anytime soon.” Chanyeol said as he stared into Baekhyun’s eyes, making him nervous.

“Shut the up! Letting me go? Well, I don’t understand why you can’t let me go when you did so easily two years ago!” Baekhyun continued to scream at Chanyeol.

“Ouch! That hurts Baekhyun” Chanyeol frowned cutely.

“Why did you come here?!”

“Because I didn’t like my old college.”

“How did you end up as my roommate?!”

“Because I asked.”

“And why would you want to become my roommate?!”

“Because I wanted to be with you.”

Baekhyun was taken aback by Chanyeol’s last statement, causing him to slightly turn red. However, he was able to quickly snap out of it, and continue raging. Baekhyun just sighed loudly.

“Look, I don’t know what your plans are, but please…I’m not here to be used as your toy.” Baekhyun firmly stated. “You’re right. I did change. I’m not the gullible and naïve high school boy you met two years ago. I won’t fall easily into your tricks again.”

Chanyeol merely stared at Baekhyun for a short moment before smiling.

“It’s okay! Having with you weren’t my original plans.” Chanyeol assured him.

“Then what are your plans??” Baekhyun asked impatiently. Chanyeol moved closer to Baekhyun’s body, causing him to tense up.

“I’m gonna make you fall in love with me again.” Chanyeol said seriously, looking down on Baekhyun. Baekhyun widened his eyes, not believing his strange words. Baekhyun pushed Chanyeol away with his hands against his chest.

“Stop. Please. Stop playing with my feelings Park Chanyeol. Do you realize?! Do you realize how hurt I was two years ago?! It took me such a long time to recover from that incident! I don’t ever want it to happen again. So please. Just…leave me alone.” Baekhyun whispered.

“You think I’m doing this just to play with you?” Chanyeol asked, raising his eyebrow.

“What else would be a reason?”

“Maybe because I—“

Chanyeol was cut off by a familiar voice.

“—Chanyeol!” Both Chanyeol and Baekhyun turned to see Kai and Kyungsoo walking towards them.

“What is it Kai?” Chanyeol asked, politely as he can although he was kind of annoyed that Kai cut off his and Baekhyun’s conversation.

“Nothing. Have you met my roommate? It’s Kyungsoo! From SM High! He was in the same grade as us.” Kai said as he excitedly present Kyungsoo to Chanyeol. Kyungsoo bowed towards Chanyeol while Chanyeol returned the bow.

“Nice to see you again Chanyeol.” Kyungsoo greeted.

“Hello!” Chanyeol greeted him back with a smile. “And Kai and Kyungsoo, this is my roommate, Byun Baekhyun.”

Kyungsoo widened his eyes and gave him a shocked look. Baekhyun only returned a frown.

“Long time no see Baekhyun! I sort of remember you from high school.” Kai told Baekhyun. Kyungsoo looked down, feeling a bit sad that Kai was able to remember Baekhyun but not him.

“A-Ah yes. I remember you too Kai. It has been a long time.” Baekhyun greeted Kai, with a sort of monotone and low voice. “Kyungsoo and I already know each other so no need for introductions for us. We’ve known each other for a long time now.”

“Ah really? Same with Chanyeol and I.” Kai informed him. “It’s almost 1. Do you guys want to go eat with us?”

“Sure—“ Kyungsoo was about to say just when he was cut off by Baekhyun.

“—You guys go ahead. Kyungsoo and I have to uhh…do some paperwork together.” Baekhyun said. Kai simply nodded.

“Okay! We’ll see you guys around!” Kai said as he walked away with Chanyeol. Chanyeol smiled at Baekhyun before walking off.

Kyungsoo made sure both guys walked a good distance before urgently speaking to Baekhyun.

“What the hell?! You never told me your roommate was Park Chanyeol?! The bastard that broke your heart two years ago!” Kyungsoo exclaimed.

“I didn’t know until I moved into my new room okay? I went in and I suddenly see him there. Apparently, he’s a new student here, like Kai.” Baekhyun told Kyungsoo.

“That’s weird. How they both suddenly move into our university. I wonder what’s their reason.”

“Chanyeol told me that he was bored of his old college and wanted to ‘be with me’ all of a sudden.”

“…..Maybe he regretted leaving you two years ago?”

“Yeah right. That guy is just here to play with me again. He may be the nice ‘Happy Virus’ everyone knows and loves but really, he’s just a thick-headed bastard that loves messing with people.”

“People change Baekhyun. But still, don’t trust him so easily this time. Just give it some time I guess” Kyungsoo advised Baekhyun.

Baekhyun was still shocked at the fact that Park Chanyeol returned into his life. He never thought he would see him again. But he was sure he wasn’t going to fall for that bastard gain. No way in hell Baekhyun was gonna get hurt twice.

Chanyeol and Kai were both walking toward the cafeteria, catching the stares of many university girls.

“Hey, you got what you wanted. You happy now?” Kai said to Chanyeol. Chanyeol merely gave Kai a small smirk.

“You bet I am. But I’m not quite there yet.”

“What do you mean? You got to be roommates with Byun Baekhyun. That was your original plan right?”

“Yes that. But you’re missing the falling in love part.” Chanyeol gave a few smiles to some girls who were staring at them, which made them swoon.

“Are you serious? You completely ditched him two years ago. You hurt the kid. What makes you think he’ll fall in love with you again? Cruel cruel Happy Virus you are.”

“Hey, I completely stopped testing people after that alright? So I stopped being cruel in that area.” Chanyeol stopped to face Kai.

“You’re still a bastard though.” Kai murmured, causing Chanyeol to playfully hit him in the chest.

“Don’t worry. I’ll show Baekhyun that I’ve changed. What about you? Why did you follow me here to this university? Couldn’t get enough of me after high school?”

“In your dreams, virus. I actually don’t know myself. That old college of mine . Everyone were either rude douches or stuck-up es. Maybe this university will have hotter girls.”

“Ya, what about that roommate of yours? Kyungsoo. He turned out to be a cutie huh? Back at SM High, I didn’t notice him at all. But now, he’s a complete pretty boy.”

“That’s true.  Kyungsoo does seem….enticing. I guess we’ll have to just wait and see.”

Baekhyun headed off to eat lunch at a nearby café in the area by himself. He definitely did not want to meet that ert in the cafeteria at the university. After getting his sandwich, he sat at the bar near the windows, reading his textbooks to prepare for the next lecture. His eyes began to feel tired from reading the large words, so he stared at the window for a short while, viewing the busy dorm life area. Being in the café reminded him of his high school days. Suddenly, a flashback of him and Chanyeol eating in the café two years ago flashed in his mind. His fists clenched at the thought. That was probably the biggest mistake of his life. And with Chanyeol back, he was definitely not going to make that mistake again.

Baekhyun swore that he would never fall in love with him again.

A figure then sat right next to Baekhyun and Baekhyun slowly turned his head toward the figure, only to result in a face of disgust to fall upon his face. Of course, it was Chaneyeol. Without saying anything, Baekhyun quickly stuffed the rest of the sandwich into his mouth and quickly began to pack his stuff to leave. Chanyeol grabbed a hold of Baekhyun’s wrist.

“Baekhyun why are you leaving so early?” Chanyeol’s deep voice rang in Baekhyun’s ears. Baekhyun roughly shook Chanyeol’s hand off of his wrist with a frown on his face.

“Don’t act like you know me so well.” Baekhyun mumbled. Chanyeol paused for a moment before laughing with a bright smile on his face.

“Of course we know each other well! Let’s eat together Baek~” Chanyeol suggested happily. Oh great, the Happy Virus is back, Baekhyun thought.

“I already finished eating. Weren’t you going to go eat with Kai at the school’s cafeteria?”

“Kai ditched me for a bunch of girls. So I decided to go and eat with you! Hehe.”

“Well too late. I’m leaving now.”

Chanyeol stood confused as Baekhyun packed up his belongings and threw his bag over his shoulder. Baekhyun threw Chanyeol a frown before leaving. “Bye.” Baekhyun walked toward the exit of the café until he felt Chanyeol tap his shoulder. Baekhyun stopped and rolled his eyes before turning around to meet Chanyeol.

“What no—“

Baekhyun’s words were cut off when Chanyeol’s lips suddenly pecked Baekhyun’s.

“Bye Baekhyun!” Chanyeol said with a smile before running out of the café. Baekhyun stood dumbfounded as that short kiss registered in his mind. Baekhyun then widened his eyes, realizing what Chanyeol has done. Before thinking, Baekhyun ran to the restroom and immediately splashed water on his mouth, wiping it hard for a few seconds. He looked at himself in the mirror, noticing how flushed his face was from the kiss. Baekhyun couldn’t help but to cover his mouth. He didn’t know what to feel. It was like a mixture of anger, surprise, embarrassment……and nostalgia. The feel of Chanyeol’s lips was soft and alluring, although the kiss only lasted half a second. Memories of two years ago flashed through his mind, causing Baekhyun to drive crazy. He continued to vigorously scrub his lips, trying to get the mark Chanyeol has left off. However, no matter how much Baekhyun scrubbed, the mental stain of Chanyeol’s lips will always remain.
