The silence kept being awkward. Enough to make me want to just get up and leave. But at the same time, something was preventing me from doing that. That something had dark short hair in the air, giant irises and long, infinite fingers. Oh, and a nice . But then he was sitting on it. I was actually wondering how the fudge he dared sit on that wonderful thing.

“Jeo-eo… Henry-sshi…”

Back to “-sshi” now?

“Henry-sshi… jeo-eo… saranghae…”

“Can you really say that to… I mean… to someone-“sshi”?”

“Mueo? Saranghae?”

“Yeah.”

“Jeo-eo…”

He said a bunch of things in Korean, and I sighed. “Man, this isn’t going to work. I should just leave and-”

“Ani!”

“All right. But then we should find a way to communica-”

He grabbed me by the collar and pulled me to him to press a long, deep kiss on my lips. I froze, surprised, unable to move, as he was slowly deepening the kiss, his dark eyes half-closed and plunged deep into mine. At least the café was almost empty. Only a young couple, concentrated on each other, was there too. They weren’t paying any attention to us.

Kyuhyun was totally paying attention to me.

I started breathing again only when he moved back slowly, and took my hands in his. His eyes were full of tenderness. And so was his smile.

“Henry-ah… you know… sarang… no… raengwiji…”

“Rae… what?”

Oh, come on, Henry. You could’ve done better than that. Like, at least memorize the whole weird freaking word. But nope.

“Raengwiji… jeo-eo… speak… yeongeo… hangukeo… peuranseo… raengwiji?”

Oh. Oooooh. Ooooooooooooh!

“Language?”

“Raengwiji!” he nodded, smiling.

I rolled my eyes. Oh mah gawd. That word was… wow. Yay Korean accent. “Wow. That was… ok. Um… so… what were you saying before?”

“Sarang… no raengwiji… kisseu… hmm… hugeu?”

“Hugs?”

“Hugeu! Kisseu, hugeu… jeo-eo…”

I had no idea what “jeo-eo” meant, and he had been saying it several times already, but I could kind of guess it was a hesitation sound, like “um” in English. The first time I had met him, he had been saying “um” instead of “jeo-eo”, but maybe he had gone back to his Korean habits in the two years we hadn’t seen each other.

“Henry-ah… you… saranghae…? Too? Me? No?”

I blushed. Furiously. Because I was shy. He was literally asking me if I liked him too. I hid my face in my hands. “Kyu, I… I don’t know how you can say it so easily…”

“Mueo?”

“That… um… I… I can’t say it Kyu… I’m sorry… but… I… feel… that too… you know… what… what you told me. I mean… we… um…”

I got up. “I’m sorry. I don’t deserve someone like you.”

He grabbed my hand and pulled me back down. “Ani! Stay!”

“Kyu, I’m not a dog, you can’t just order me like that.”

“Ani, you Henry. Not Dogeu.”

I rolled my eyes and sighed. “Seriously?”

“Siriooseuli?”

Ouch my ears.

“Seriously.”

“Siriooseuli.”

“No. Seriously.”

“Siri…”

“No, you got it wrong from the beginning. Repeat after me. Se-ri-ous-ly.”

“Siii-riii-oooo-seeeuuu-liiii.”

I facepalmed and decided to give up. “No, but… just forget that. Kyu, I’m sorry.”

“Wae?”

“Because I can’t tell you how I feel.”

“Fiil?”

“Feel. How I feel.”

“Sarang?”

I blushed once again. “Ne…” I said in a very soft voice.

It made him smile anyway. Like a kid. Like a man. Like a lover. Like the most handsome man in existence. Like the one I… like the one I… I… I…  I sighed. I couldn’t even say it in my mind. To myself. Where nobody but me could hear. Lame, Henry. Just lame.

But he didn’t seem to think that, because he took my hand softly and pressed a kiss on it. “Is ok. Saranghae.”

Too sweet. Too sweet for me.

I could only smile and blush as he was saying other sweet words to me, half in Korean and half in broken Engrish.
