“I missed you.”

“Come on Lay, I stayed away for only few days.” You pointed out while looking for ingredients for your usual snack.

“Still.” He chuckled. “Did you already see Tao?”

“Yeah, he fetched me earlier before heading to work.”

“Seriously? What did you do then all day?” he asked as he glanced at his watch and saw it was already 5PM. “Don’t tell me you slept all day?”

You shot him a glare. “I didn’t!” you cried. “Well, I tried but I couldn’t so I cleaned up and also did the laundry.”

It was true. And wanna know why you couldn’t sleep?

Because every time you closed your eyes and tried to relax, the scene of that incident continued to appear in your mind, followed by the image of Tao smiling and caressing your hair before kissing you.

You didn’t tell your boyfriend yet.

Better say, how could you? How could you face him then?

Ky Cee thought it was wrong not telling him, despite the fact she wanted to talk with Eli but she didn’t as you let that go. Also because you remembered how Tao glared at Eli when he realized he was also going at that field trip. You couldn’t help but to keep it all by yourself, suffering.

Stupid field trip. You desperately thought.

The days after what happened between you and Eli passed slowly, though Ky Cee tried to cheer you up. That’s why you asked Tao to fetch you once you arrived at school instead of Chanyeol, so you could somehow forget about it.

But you were wrong.

That feeling of being guilty was already killing you.

What if you told him then the only thing he could do was hating you? No way.

He was part of your life now.

“Here.” you finally said as you were now finished to prepare some sandwiches and placed the plate on the table.

“So what about you? What did you and Chanyeol do while I wasn’t here?” you asked after taking a bite of your sandwich.

“What we used to. Or hang out with the others.”

You nodded as you couldn’t say anything, your mouth still munching.

“You know, Tao told me that that guy named Eli or something went at your field trip too.” He said and you choked and tried to not to spit it out. “Woah! You okay?”

You nodded right away, not wanting to alarm him or notice something. “Yeah don’t worry! Err.. By the way, and then?”

He eyed you but then took a bite of his sandwich too and you waited for him to swallow it. “He was worried.”

You placed the sandwich on the plate since you were not feeling that hungry now and stood up to take a glass of water.

When you already gulped it down, you leaned on the counter, not facing him. “Why? Nothing happened.”

You heard him sigh and the noise of the chair being pulled out so you thought he was already approaching you.

“Kyori, what happened? Why are you acting like this all of a sudden? Don’t say nothing happened because I know something happened.” he seriously asked you or better say, to your back.

You swallowed and tried to hold up your tears.

You were wrong.

You were wrong thinking that Lay wouldn’t notice anything.

You were wrong you could hide something at your best friend.

You were wrong when you told to yourself, or else, convinced yourself you could forget all about it.

“He’s a bastard.” You whispered. “Yixing, that guy kissed me.”

He turned you around and pulled you in a hug, the back of your head. “Here, here. Don’t cry.”

You placed your hand in your cheek and realized that you were already crying.

“Please don’t hate me. I know Tao is your friend, but—“

“Kyori.” He interrupted you with a firm tone. “Who said I hate you?”

“You were afraid to tell me because you thought I might be angry at you.” He stated as you stayed silent.

He always knows. You thought.

“Don’t ever think about it, okay? It wasn’t your fault and I know that you didn’t want that to happen.”

Of course! You mentally said.

“Say, did you already tell Tao about this?” he asked pulling away a little so he could stare in your eyes.

But the answer came without the need of you to tell him.

“Listen, you know you can trust me. I won’t tell him, okay?” you gave him a thankful look but even before you could finally smile, he let go of you. “Because the one who is going to tell him is you.”

And now you were afraid again.

Of course Lay wouldn’t hate you. He always tried to understand you.

But he was right.

You couldn’t avoid it forever. What if someone else would tell him?

You deeply inhaled and finally nodded, agreeing at what your best friend said.

He smiled as he gently patted your head. “Good girl.”

You smiled too. “Thank you oppa.”

“So since it seems like you didn’t enjoy that much your field trip, why don’t we hang out? It’s already your vacation and it’s freaking summer.”

You thought about it for a minute then snapped your fingers. “Lotte World! I wanna go there!”

He widened his eyes before grinning. “Absolutely! I’m gonna tell the others so we can settle it all up.”

Finally, the day came.

In the end, you all found a weekend were nobody was busy and that’s it. You were now there, in Lotte World’s parking lot looking for somewhere to park the cars. Kyungsoo, instead of using his car, he borrowed his parents’ car and thanks to his, Tao, Kris and Chanyeol’s cars, you all managed to arrive there by 10AM.

As soon as Tao parked, you got off right away, trying to calm yourself. Tao approached you, sheepishly smiling.

“Kyori, are you ok—“

But as he placed his hand on your waist, you snapped. “Why the hell did you need to drive so fast like that?!” you cried, frustrated.

He jolted a little by your sudden change of mood. “I-I’m sorry but hyungs provok—“

You interrupted him by mocking what he just said, still upset but little by little you softened as he continued to apology then finally placed a soft kiss on your lips.

“My poor eyes!” Sehun cried and covered his eyes, teasing you.

You looked at him and laughed at his reaction. “Dongsaeng, do I need to accompany you when you want to go at children’s rides?”

The others that just got off too from their respective cars laughed and Sehun just tried to find an excuse.

“Maknae’s right! We won’t go with Kyungsoo hyung and Ky Cee noona ever again if they won’t stop being all lovey dovey.” Kai suddenly yelled, pointed at the ones who was referring to.

“Jongin you better shut up. If I didn’t accept, you two won’t probably be here right now.” he scolded his dongsaengs, making them shut their mouths and pout.

After the bickering, you all soon gathered in one spot so you could decide where and when to go first.

You weren’t the only one excited as you saw Ky Cee grinning from ear to ear, differently from So Yeon and Ye Seul, who were besides their respective boyfriends.

“So where do you guys want to go?” Kris asked and waited for the worst.

“Character World!”

“The Haunted House!”

“Gyro Swing!”

“Buggy Buggy!”

“The Conquistadors!”

“In a restaurant.”

“World Monorial!”

“Water Park!”

Kris was obviously surrounded by your answers where most of those were of the boys.

He quickly covered his ears and let out a sigh then breathe in, giving up.

“SHUT UP!” he yelled, his eyes glued mostly to the boys.

“And you!” he cried, pointing at Sehun. “Didn’t we decide we’re going there tomorrow?”

Yes, you didn’t hear read it wrong.

Instead of going home after spending a day at Lotte World and coming back the next day for the Water Park, you all preferred to stay in a hotel for the night.

And guess who had this magnificent idea? Yes, Kris.

Sehun muttered an inaudible sorry but it wasn’t heard as Kris continued to speak.

“So! After we get the ticket and also the Magic Pass, we’re going to take a map then while we are eating, we decide where it’s better to go first okay?”

“Yes leader!”

“Let’s go!”

“Finally!”

Thanks to Kris, you all could escape from the now forming rows since he managed to buy the tickets online so you could also have a discount as you were more than fifteen persons.

The man in charge of checking the tickets let you enter and you squeezed Tao’s hand, intertwined in yours.

You didn’t need to walk that far since the cafeteria you wanted to have breakfast was already in that floor.

As you all stepped in Yogerpresso, you took a seat and Kris, with the help of Suho, Luhan and Xiumin, went to the casher to order.

After ordering, the ones who went at the casher took a seat too and you all waited for your breakfast. You and the girls were simply chatting, pointing here and there on the map, excited also to do some shopping, when Tao suddenly placed a hand on your waist.

“Babe.” He called you, trying to hold a laugh while looking at his phone. “Look at what they just sent me.”

You raised an eyebrow, looking at him. “Huh?”

“Just look.” Then he leaned in and gave you his phone.

You saw Chanyeol sitting in a cafeteria with a girl that at first you couldn’t figure out but then, zooming a little, you recognized yourself. It was when you hang out with Chanyeol few weeks ago.

The message also had a caption: “Look at what your girl is doing while you’re not with her..” but there was no sender number.

You couldn’t help but to laugh too. “What are they thinking?”

“I don’t know. Maybe that you two are together.” He told you, shaking his head.

“I cannot even imagine being the girlfriend of that ferret.”

“Hey what did you say?!” your brother started to bicker, the crumbs of his pastries on the corners of his mouth.

“None of your business oppa.” You said, faking a smile then faced Tao. “Probably they just want to mess us up.”

He squeezed your hand and flashed you a smile. “But they’ll fail.”
