Foreword
[The Underworld]
A jet black folder—the identical hue of a raven’s plume—smoothly glides across the mahogany table top. A pair of hands reaches for the object placed in front, but hesitantly stops in midair.
“What is this?” the owner of the outstretched hands calmly asks.
This time, a different voice answers with equal tranquility, “The next one in line—Lee Sun Mi. She’s diagnosed with stage three, liver cancer.”
“She’s definitely suffering.” A click of the tongue reverberates throughout the room—uncomfortable silence following thereafter. “I want her dead by next week.”
“Yes, my lord.”
