Zhoumi smiled at the twinkling lights as Kyuhyun put the finishing touches to the christmas tree. "Hmmm" he said, frowning a little.

"No. Do not make me do it again!"

"But Kyu!"

"No buts! We've already done this three times!"

"I just think that red would make a better colour scheme.."

Kyuhyun sighed as he took the gold decorations off and began to search around for the red ones. "Christmas is meant to be fun.." he sighed. He felt warm arms wrap around him and a guilty voice whisper in his ear. 

"I'm sorry Kyu, I love you."

Kyuhyun had turned around to kiss the older man, pressing his lips against him. "I love you too, don't worry about the decorations. Noone needs a colour scheme anyway!"

"I like colour schemes.. We'll just finish it in red and then I won't change it I promise!" 

Kyu sighed but finished the job and laid slumped on the sofa as he drank his mulled wine. Sungmin had sent a lovely bottle and Kyuhyun savoured it happily and poured himself another glass. 

 

He rested his back against Zhoumi and checked his phone as it beeped with a photo message. Eunhyuk and Donghae were posing in front of their tree, smiling happily. Eunhyuk had tinsel wrapped around him and Hae had baubles balanced on his head. Kyuhyun smiled and sent them a picture of him and Zhoumi in front of their perfect tree. 

"Do you want to come for christmas eve?" was the caption. Thinking quickly, he sent it to all of the members. 

 

A few minutes later, Henry and Siwon knocked on the door, carrying huge boxes wrapped in bright paper. "We brought all of our presents, we'll give them out today, and then we won't have to deliver them tomorrow" said Henry breathlessly as he handed Zhoumi a large box and Kyuhyun a parcel. "We've got the gifts for the others as well. Now it'll be easier and we won't have to drive so much tomorrow."

"Noone should have to drive around on christmas" agreed Siwon, kissing his younger boyfriend.

 

Next to arrive were Yesung and Ryeowook, who had evidently had the same idea. The smaller boy could barely be seen behind the boxes and bows. "Merry christmas eve" they chorused.

 

Soon, all of the group, and all of their presents, were in the house. Sungmin had brought wine and they were all eating and drinking together, laughing and telling stories of their christmas preparation.

"You see this tree, I've changed the colours 4 times!" Kyu said to Ryeowook. Zhoumi overheard and hit him playfully.

"Well it's worth it, it matches the curtains perfectly. But if the baubles were blue then your tree would match with the table display."

"Don't even think about it!" came Kyuhyun's warning as his boyfriend looked at him expectantly.

 

They all laughed together and swapped gifts ready for the next day. Thanking the couple, they put their coats on and headed outside. But as they were going to their cars, they found the ground was too deep in snow to drive.

 

"But, what about our food?" wailed Henry. 

Siwon put his arms around him. "I'm sorry Henry, we'll get the food when we get home."

Zhoumi laughed. "We have food here Henry, and enough room for you all if you don't mind sharing."

Everyone settled into their beds and cuddled up close. Yesung and Ryeowook kissed together as they sat on the bed, the kiss gentle and loving. "I didn't expect this" Wook said as they broke apart. 

"No, but it's nice to be all together" Yesung whispered in reply. And around the house, everyone was feeling the same.

 

The next morning, Hae was first to wake up and the whole house had to wake up too. He went from room to room, shaking the members and bouncing crazily. As everyone gathered around the tree, they passed out the presents and cries of happiness and "merry christmas" filled the room as the fire crackled.

After lunch, everyone was settled on the sofas and playing charades. The laughter and jokes filled the room and Zhoumi smiled at Kyuhyun's happy face. 

He pulled the boy into his arms and kissed him. "And to think you wanted a quiet christmas."

Kyuhyun just kissed him back in reply.
