Siwon breathed in the cold mountain air as he jumped out of the car and helped Ryeowook to climb down from his seat. The smaller boy shivered as he hopped down onto the ground, the strong wind biting through his thin jacket and he huddled next to his boyfriend. 

"Siwon, are you sure this is a good idea? It's so cold."

"It'll be warm inside the tent, come on. Let's set it up!"

 

But as they unwrapped the tent and began to piece it together, Siwon felt his heart clench at sight of the blueish tinge to Ryeowook's arms. Wrapping him tightly in his coat, he set the boy down in the car and turned the heating on. Frowning at the frozen limbs, he rubbed the boy gently before closing the door and going back to the tent. After he had struggled painfully with the fabric and poles, his fingers stiff with cold, he finally got the tent up. 

Opening the zipper and placing the pillows inside, he went to the car to get the warm sleeping bags. But the boot opened to reveal only one. He sighed heavily, nothing was going well today.

Deciding to just struggle through it, he picked up the single bag and opened the front door of the car to help Wook get out. The smaller boy looked at the tent unhappily and looked upset about leaving the warmth of the car. He smiled to be back in Siwon's arms though, and hugged the older man close.

 

Going to the tent, Siwon was worried about how much the younger boy was shivering. Even though he had only been out of the car for a minute, his lips were turning blue and his skin was covered in goosebumps.

It took Siwon half a second to make up his mind.

 

Going back to the car, he placed the sleeping bag inside and pushed the back seats so that they made a flat seat to lie on. He lay the sleeping bag down and climbed inside, motioning for Ryeowook to join him. The younger boy looked nervously at Siwon, "I don't know, maybe I should sleep in the front seat.."

Siwon looked at him comfortingly. "Wook, I'm not asking you to do anything except lie next to me. Just like back at the dorm."

Ryeowook tentatively got into the sleeping bag next to Siwon, but his limbs were stiff and he kept himself apart from the stronger man. His expression was pained and he looked like he would cry.

 

Siwon put his hand out and squeezed Wook's shoulder. Looking deep into the boy's eyes, he rubbed soothing circles into the boy's skin. "Wookie, don't panic. I'll sleep in the front if you're uncomfortable. You have the sleeping bag, okay?"

"Siwon" came the tiny whispered reply. "Please stay."

So Siwon lay back down and held his arms out to Wook. "Why are you so nervous? It's only me."

"It's just us, here in the car, in the middle of nowhere, where noone can hear us.." Ryeowook sounded terrified as he voiced his fears out loud. 

Siwon laughed gently "You think I brought you here to hurt you? Oh Wookie. You watch too many horror films."

He pulled the boy into his arms and rested Wook's head on his chest so that the boy was looking out of the window. 

"This is where my dad used to take me camping, so I thought I'd show you. It's just a little remote, that's all. Isn't it beautiful here?" 

"When the heating's on" teased Wook gently. And then his voice grew more serious. "I'm sorry Siwon. I should have trusted you more."

 

They hugged together as they watched the stars appear. "You can always trust me Wookie, I'd never hurt you."

 

Ryeowook leaned up and kissed Siwon lovingly as the night darkened and the stars shone. Lying together in the sleeping bag, they fell asleep in each other's arms.
