Description
You were a boyish girl by choice. It was your personnality, just like being pretty smart and loving animals was a part of you.
Hyukjae was the popular type, and though your first impression was to think of him as a jerk, it soon changed to make him your one and only crush. In your head, nothing would ever happen, because the popular guy falling for the boyish, tomboy girl was only in movies. It would be a miracle if you two even started to talk.
Or so you thought.
Foreword
I have read many, many stories in which the girl was described as boyish, and everytime, I was excited because I am a very boyish looking girl with a kind of manly personnality.
Everytime, and you can always prove me wrong if you have proof, the girl was freaking girlish! My definition of boyish must not be the same, because the girl always ended up become really girly for the guy! Even, at first, she wasn't that boyish!
A boyish girl isn't a girl with a violent personnality, or a independant girl, any girl can be! A boyish girl is a girl with boyish looks, which means : no dresses, no heels, no makeup, minimum fashion sense and confortable clothes only. A boyish girl do not care about changing her style for others. It's not a matter of 'girly clothes not looking good', it's a matter of not liking it.
Again, you can prove me wrong, but it always annoyed me how I still couldn't identify myself in those stories because the girl was still too girly.
