Producer Yasushi Akimoto has decided that in order for AKB48 to futher interact with their fans, they should start working at the AKB48 cafe part time when they are not busy with other events, and transform the cafe into a maid cafe. When the girls arrive at the AKB48 cafe they are greeted by the manager who informs them that they will be learning how to work at a maid cafe by the number one employee, Alex.

When the members of AKB48 meet the best employee they find out that she is dressed as a boy/butler and that is one of the reasons why she is so popular among the customers. (Some customers call her 'Alex the Ikemen').  The girls begin to learn from Alex what is needed to be a good employee and along the way develop a lasting friendship with Alex, while other members may start to experience what first love feels like.
