It was late November: the streets were bustling with commuters. Amidst the crowd, two girls walked arm in arm. Both dressed impeccably, neither admitting that they put effort into how they looked that day. Walking toward the general direction of the park, they hummed a happy tune—not knowing who started humming or who thought of the song.

Tiffany Hwang gasped in awe as she felt the cold snowflake land on her fair skin, her eyes immediately flying to the girl standing right beside her. Jessica Jung’s eyes met hers, faking a pout as she sighed in mock exasperation.

“Ugh, it’s you again.” She whined, pushing Tiffany away teasingly as she began to gloat. “Why is it that it’s you that I’m always with on the day of the first snow?”

“You don’t sound happy about it, Jessie.” Tiffany giggled, fixing Jessica’s fringe as they settled down on a park bench. “Don’t you worry; about this time next year, you’ll find a prince to stand by you when the snow falls.”

“You know I was kidding, Fany.”She said with a smirk, tucking her arm around her best friend. “I don’t think I’d rather stand by anyone but you. It’s tradition!”

With a chuckle, they exchanged smiles and hugged each other tight.

“Yo, I want in!” A boy called out, his strong arms encompassing them both the moment he approached.

 “Ya! Ok Taecyeon you’re late!” Jessica bellowed, slapping the boy’s arm away from her and Tiffany. “You now I hate waiting!”

“Come on, Jessie,” Tiffany cooed, her hand unconsciously landing on Taecyeon’s, keeping it on her shoulders, “We haven’t been waiting long.”

Taecyeon blushed slightly at the contact, ignoring the strange beating of his heart as he jumped over the bench and sat in between the two girls.
