She ran as fast as she could up the stairs, dragging a little boy behind her. She was quickly becoming frustrated and lost in her separation to get away from someone. She picked up her son, holding tightly onto him, as she picked up her pace reaching the top and running into the empty street. The screeching of tires terrified her, she looked in the direction of the sound, instantly recognizing it. She tried running in a different direction, throwing down the large bag she was carrying, no longer caring about it, but kept a tight grip on the boy. A man stood in her way, grabbing onto one of her arms; she tried to pull her arm free almost losing grip on her son. The man tightened his grip on her as another opened the car door to her worst nightmare. She continued to fight harder against her capture, putting the boy one the ground as carefully as she could. The little boy looked at her with a mixture of confusion, fear and sadness; she gave up a gentle push and tried to keep the man from grabbing the boy. 

"RUN!!" She screamed at the boy. He hesitated running as she yelled again pushing him harder as a hand tried to grab him. "RUN!! GO!! NOW!!"

The little boy ran as fast a he could, running into an alley to escape the man who ran after him. He tried to ignore the screams of his mother echoing through the air and the sound of a gunshot leaving silence there after. He continued running, trying to ignore the pain his heart and wipe away his tears so he could see his way and avoid the man.
