"It will be over soon, I promise."

"I promise you, wherever you go, I'll find you, okay?"

"I love you."

"Don't say it, this is not goodbye!"

"Please find me."

The rain poured louder and with it, the gunshots started again.

"Be careful."

She whimpered as he pulled her close for one last time.

"Don't you dare."

He looked in her eyes and watched as her tears started running again.

"Don't you dare be caught, I need you in Seoul."

He kissed her forehead and for a moment, she felt his tears on her.

"The war is over."

He smiled at her.

"We'll build our house, raise our kids and grow old, together."

He hugged her tighter, protecting her from the newly shattered glass, falling on them.

"I'll find you, I promise."

He kissed her lips, pausing for a brief moment, memorizing  her scent and touch.

Before she knew it, he left her under that ruin alone, running towards the enemy.
