"He's that kid before" they both said to each other

"I  don't recognize him" Mirai said

"yeah me too,so that's why his name is familiar.  I just thought of it a couple of minutes ago" Kamiki stated

"really?how?" she asked

"yeah, because I saw him on his balcony, just like before."

"ah, he grows up well, he's really handsome"

"more handsome than me?" Mikki asked

"uhm, let me think..yes"

"EH?"

"Haha, stop that, just check my answers"

"you should say that I'm more handsome! I'm your boyfriend!"

"yeah yeah whatever, I'll get some drinks"

"hey! waifu"

"stop calling me that" Mirai shouted outside the door

"silly him" she added while walking down the stairs

The next day

Shida look first if Kamiki is waiting outside and she saw him there looking at her

"ah, ohayo!" she greeted and went out the gates

"you usually greets the moment you opened the door, why? expecting me to overslept again?" he said

"kind of hehe,"

"I tried hard to stand when the alarm rings you know"

"heavy sleeper" mirai teased

"tss"

"so. they're not home yet?"

"they called and said to be back this afternoon"

"ah, oh, I made you a bento today"

"yes! oh, Ryo-chan!" Kamiki called when he saw Yamada getting out of the house

"ohayo" Shida greeted

"ohayo" he greeted back

"Sorry for not recognizing you earlier" -kamiki

"ah, I'm sorry too, I should've approach you"-Ryosuke

"ehm, that's okay. now we all know we can be friends again right? just like before?" Kamiki said smiling

"ah, sure if it's fine with you"-Ryosuke said and smile

"Of course it is" then they all walk together to school

Yamada is Shida and Kamiki's friend back when they were 8 years old. Kamiki's family move first to the place where they are living now when they 7 years old. He met Yamada and they bacame bestfriends, after a year Shida's family followed and she met Yamada. Since then, the three of them became best of friends but Yamada's family move out of the country.

"Ohayo Mi-chan!" Suzuka greeted when they reached the gates, Suzuka is walking with Kanata

"Suzu! wait, why are you with Kanata?" asked Mirai

"I just saw her on my way" Kanata explained

"Really? or maybe you wait for her and just pretend that it's just plain coincidence" Shida started teasing Kanata

"shut up Mi-chan, she's not my type" Kanata answered

"Why?Suzuka is pretty, I think you look good together" teased Kamiki

"Whatever, oh you're Yamada right" Kanata noticed Ryosuke

"hai"-Ryosuke

"why are you with him?" Suzuka whispered to Mirai

"he's our neighbor and he's our old friend too"- Mirai said

"really?"-Suzu

"yeah"-Mirai

they just walk to class, Yamada don't talk too much and just sat on his chair, the four was still outside the classroom chatting

"how did you became friends with him, he's too cold" Kanata said

"we are kids that time, and I think he's not cold" Kamiki answered

"let's not talk about that, oh the first bell rang already, were going now" Shida pulled Suzuka and run to their class

"oi, don't run in the hallways! sshh, those two, I'll be going" -Kanata

"Ahh, why are you no't in the same class as me, life's unfair!" Kamiki said, and tried to pull Kanata

"You have your cold bestfriend there"

"tss, are jealous, Kana-chan?" Kamiki teased

Kanata flicked his forehead and went to his class

Lunch break

"Yamada!"

Mirai called and Yamada turned

"wanna eat with us?"-Kamiki

"I'm fine" then he walk to the cafeteria by himself

"see, he's really cold"-Kanata

Shida and Kamiki look at each other and just shrugged their shoulders

A month passed and they were still living their normal life, Yamada talked to them and walk with them when going to school, but Mirai noticed that he's not the same as before. He's not the Ryo-chan that she knows, he don't smile often, it's like something is always bothering him. And she wonder why

She was walking when she saw Ryo-chan sitting on a bench 

"Ryo-chan!" he looks up

"oh, Mi-chan"

"why are you here  eating alone?" she asked

"I'm always here alone," Ryosuke noticed the bento in Mirai's hand " You haven't eat yet?"

Mirai look at her hands, " ah, yes... may I join you here?"

"of course" so Mirai sat beside Ryosuke and started to open her bento

"where are the others?" he asked

"Suzuka and Kanata are busy with their clubs and Kamiki is busy reviewing with Kawashima-san. You know for the QuizBee."

"Mikki and Kawashima-san is getting closer"

"uhm, she's a good friend to us"

"don't you think that their closeness can--"

"they're just reviewing together" she said firmly 

"But you are aware of the fact that she likes Mikki, right"

Mirai didn't answer, Ryosuke noticed the change in her face, she's been looking down at her food, thinking deeply. He panicked because it looks like Mirai will cry anytime soon

"oi, Mi-chan, I'm just kidding... don't think too much about it" he said, but to his surprise Mirai suddenly laugh

"hahaha I got you!, you think I will cry because of that?"

"Mi-chan" he said and just also laugh at Mirai, but he can see clearly, even if she won't tell it, that she was bothered by what he said. 'stupid me, why did I even say that to her' he tought to himself
